It's hard to fake the results of these elections in Venezuela, since Venezuelans literally vote with their fingerprints and Venezeula has the most transparent elections than any other South American countries, according to UNASUR.

Where did you get the 80% opposing the NCA figure? Is it really hard to believe Venezuelans want their nation to be a socialist state, rather than one that has its riches stolen by the CIA/US while its people suffer?

@skinster Maduro doesn't have the popularity that Hugo Chavez enjoyed. The economy is in shambles for many valid reasons. One of them is that the Venezuelan economy is too dependent on oil prices to fund a lot of its social programs, rampant corruption within the Venezuelan state and a lot of pressure from outside elitists from the Venezuelan upper crust in partnership with capitalist international industries.

Long ago, the best path to have followed while Chavez was in power was to diversify the Venezuelan economy. But you can't do so if you have mass unemployment coupled with the majority of Venezuelans not getting decent educations and even lacking basic health care and services and not even possessing valid IDs. The Chavez administration did not have the time it actually takes to educate mass amounts of people, get basic infrastructure going and deal with the challenges of being pressured by a pro-capitalist greedy and wealthy and militarily powerful machine from the outside.

It will lead to famine, disenchantment and a total breakdown of many things. Which is what the pro capitalists count on to destroy socialist governments with some resource (oil) that they want to control.

The answer in the future is not these awful attempts at keeping power via Maduro's tactics. It is to actually implement change strongly and with dedication and to make coalitions with many other governments all over the world dealing with pro capitalist vulture bankers and their cronies. It is the only way.

I don't respect any government who allows their people to be starved and not fed and not attended to. If you allow that? Worthless efforts. Got to feed people, house them and love them and give them medical attention. Even if it means you lose your political seat.

Chavez fought bravely for his position against all odds. Maduro? I don't know about him. He is not the man Chavez was. Lol.

Nicolas Maduro needs to make sure he gets his people's bellies fed, he stops rampant crime, gets them medical care, and basic services. Including educating people for the long haul so he can recreate an economy not dependent on petroleum and oil. Venezuela needs a lot of work to be done. Ideally without a bunch of creepy, haters of socialism trying to make it into the society it was before that had such a need for change. You would think Skinster that these elites would learn their lesson. But they don't. They continue to ignore the needs of the vast majority of the poor and become comfortable in their rich living bubbles and middle class snob bubbles and when the shit hits the fan and they lose the elections they cry and carry on about being 'violated'.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. If you don't believe poor people in your nation have or should have decent wages, great educations, decent homes and a future for their families? GET THE HELL OUT OF POLITICS. Period.

The USA will continue to manipulate elections in Latin America and write sham shit journalistic pieces. But they get their karma....have some Putin types interfere in their sham bought off bribe filled elections in their own arrogant second rate power nation...as a reward.

That is what happens Skinster.

The scary thing is these people actually believe their own bullshit.

President Hugo Chávez told us that as long as imperialism existed, the Bolivarian Revolution would always be threatened, that is why we must achieve political hegemony, which is not a dictatorial hegemony, but to create awareness.

Aristobulo Isturiz, Vice President of ANC

Fucking gulagists.

I doubt you can actually dispute anything in either of those videos. Be honest here, your views on the issue are based entirely on fake socialist bloggers, telesur articles, and random tweets. You don't have any real understanding of the history, the politics, or the economics of Venezuela because you haven't really looked into all sides of the issue. You got an ignorant opinion and when it's challenged with facts and reason your only response is to call it propaganda or fake news. You got nothing but an ideology.

Why do you think American corporations care about Venezuela? :excited:

I don't. The US establishment has been sabotaging the Venezuelan economy, but that's not the sole cause of the country's economic problems. The government is also responsible for a large part of the turmoil. Bad policies, bad leadership, and powerful enemies have all converged to create one hellacious economic and political shit storm.

I don't think I've seen an honest criticism from you on the leadership or policies of any of these movements you support. Why is that?
