I don’t know if anyone has mentioned this already, but has the lady in Tehran whose image went viral been found? I read reports she’d gone missing. Any truth to that?

So the biggest issue with Iran is that from a Western point of view it sucks to be a woman there? Wearing a hijab must be terrible indeed, but they shouldn't envy Western women during the sexual harassment epidemic, and any woman can be catcalled anytime while they make less money than men!

And German support keeps the regime alive, of course...

What makes this story political important is the way it highlights the Islamic penetration through international bodies. The OIC is commanding the UN human rights committee, thus avoidining any debate about anything that is harmful to Islamic interest, making it unhuman rights. This protest has no chance in the current UN, therefore it must be backed by social media.

It seems there is a difference between some Iranian women (most are socialized to go along with the rules and wear it without fuss) who revolting against the lack of freedom of choice and Muslim women in the West who are more than happy to wear it as defiance.

A Muslim woman in the West can avoide it (theoretically). Moreover, with the reIslamization and radicalization of the Muslims in the West, wearing hijab is political statement. Linda Sarsour, the chief Islamist propagandist in America and one of the organizers of Women March is connected to Islamic Brotherhood, so her choice to sport it is probably genuine and voluntarily. For Islamic Brotherhood agents in the west, the Hijab is extension of hijra (jihad by migration) and daawa (proselytism). These women in Iran couldn't care less about Islamic supremacy in the world.

All lies, it is the religious right who push this shit onto people, the left stamp it out.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hujum

Hujum (Russian: Худжум; in Turkic languages, storming or assault, from Arabic: هجوم) was a series of policies and actions taken by the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, initiated by Joseph Stalin, to try to have women in the Muslim majority areas of the Soviet Union remove their veils. The hujum was literally an "attack" on all manifestations of perceived gender inequality, especially on the archaic systems of female veiling and seclusion, practiced in Central Asia.[1] Thus the party recast their message of class revolution into the novel lexicon of women's liberation. By abolishing the means of oppression apparent in Uzbekistan, and heralding in women's liberation, the Soviets believed they could clear the way for the construction of socialism. The hujum campaign's purpose was to rapidly change the lives of Uzbek women so that they may participate in public life, paid work, education, and ultimately membership in the Communist Party. It was originally conceived to enforce laws that gave women in patriarchal societies equality by creating literacy programs and bringing women into the labor force.

I really don't know why I bother anymore. The right live in a version of reality that exists only in their head. This imaginary alliance between the left and Muslims is a classic example. I have a video that might help you Noir.
