Aurangabad: Union minister Satyapal Singh has claimed that Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution of man is “scientifically wrong” and it needs to be changed in school and college curriculum.

Singh, the minister of state for human resource development, said our ancestors have nowhere mentioned that they saw an ape turning into a man.

“Darwin’s theory (of evolution of humans) is scientifically wrong. It needs to change in school and college curriculum. Since the man is seen on Earth he has always been a man,” he said while speaking to reporters on January 19.

The IPS officer-turned-politician was in this central Maharashtra city to attend the ‘All India Vaidik Sammelan’.

“Nobody, including our ancestors, in written or oral, have said they saw an ape turning into a man,” he said.

“No books we have read or the tales told to us by our grandparents had such a mention,” the minister added.

Darwinism is a theory of biological evolution that states that all species of organisms arise and develop through the natural selection of small, inherited variations that increase the individual’s ability to compete, survive, and reproduce.

It was developed by Darwin, a 19th century English naturalist, and others.

With these considerations in mind, we reestimate the divergence and split times of humans, chimpanzees, and gorillas, using substitution rates estimated only at CpG transitions. Assuming the per year mutation rate for CpG transitions obtained in ref. 10 (SI Appendix, Note S1), we estimate that humans diverged from chimpanzees ∼12.1 Mya and from gorillas ∼15.1 Mya (Fig. 4). Assuming further that the effective population size of the human–ape ancestor was five times the current population size (as estimated by refs. 43, 44), the human–chimpanzee split time is ∼7.9 Mya, and the human–gorilla split time is 10.8 Mya. We note that there is substantial uncertainty in estimates of ancestral population size of apes, with previous estimates ranging between 50,000 and 100,000 (43–45). Accounting for this uncertainty provides estimates of human–chimpanzee split time in the range of 6.5–9.3 Mya, and human–gorilla split time in the range of 9.4–12.2 Mya. Reassuringly, these estimates are similar to those obtained by explicitly modeling the dependence of replicative mutations on life history traits in hominines (33). Moreover, they are in broad agreement with evidence from the fossil record, which suggests a human–chimpanzee split time of 6–10 Mya and a human–gorilla split time of 7–12 Mya (46–51). Thus, within hominines, there is no obvious discrepancy between phylogenetic and pedigree-based estimates of mutation rates, once the effect of life history traits on mutation rates is taken into account (33).

I think Darwin's theory of evolution flawed in many respects and it's wrong teach Darwinism per se based on what he actually wrote in the 19th century. For example, random mutation and natural selection alone do not produce complex biological features and the fossil record often lacks transitional forms, which are pseudoscientific beliefs. But there are reliable estimates of human–chimpanzee split time in the range of 6.5–9.3 Mya, and human–gorilla split time in the range of 9.4–12.2 Mya, based on the study by Moorjani et al. (2016), which is an established scientific fact.

Orthodox fundamentalists say it is 7200 years old, and that the flood happened around 5500 BC.

The reason why things appear on scientific read-outs as older than they are is because the extreme heat and rapid expansion of the universe had a fundamentally different signature on the natural forces. Things have not remained constant for 6 billion+ years, rather, there was a period of 7 days of extreme weathering during the natural expansion of things.

If it is possible to fundamentally alter the way that a thingis dated with fire... You'd think the extreme forces of temperature would also be able to shift it.

IDK, man, I am just saying.
