Nonsense wrote:This is just a president wearing neo-con clothes when it suits him.

America is weak, both economically, socially & politically.

When we have inept, selfish, ignorant politicians in the West making error after error in political judgement, the cost rises for everyone & virtually every country.
The people will have their payback, their memories are such that they will hold the idiots that run the show are held to account.

President PUTIN is 100% politically correct in his judgement on Syria, in spite of the sickening cost to civilians on all sides & on Syria itself.
TRUMP is BLAMING Mr PUTIN for AMERICA's FAILED ADVENTURISM in SYRIA, indeed, AMERICA even supplied $ BILLIONS in weaponry to ASSAD's father when he was running the show in Syria.

AMERICA should STOP it's stupidity, it's projection, it's interference in the affairs of other countries & it's RHETORICAL THREATS against RUSSIA.

President PUTIN is stronger than TRUMP, the fat, idle, bellicose buffoon, PUTIN is not N. Korea, TRUMP should butt out of things that do not concern America.

It's deeply regrettable what ASSAD is doing in SYRIA, the Syrian people will eventually make him pay, the Arab 'Spring' is KAPUT, that is the cause of Syria's problems, the immense human suffering & structural damage done there.

Syria's problems should be a warning to the Palestinians not to stir their neighbours to action.

They never learn anything. It seems what is happening now in Gaza is a secound round of similiar event 7 years ago. At that time, the Syrian state was already burning at this stage, and Assad felt he has been swept into a deadly civil war. In order to mobilize the Syrian street behind Bashar, he needed to lit the Palestine tired trick. To encourage the volunteers, they were offered a payment. According to the sources, up to 1,000 $ per volunteer and 10,000 $ for his family if he is killed. In the end he refused to pay which sparked one of the first spot of fighting in the Syrian civil war.

The end is known.

Where is the money?

27/08/2011

By Dr. Guy Bechor

After Nakba Day, which was occupied by the entire Arab world on 15 May, and with Syrian intelligence initiating its side in the Golan Heights with the influx of demonstrators, albeit in a completely unorganized manner, the brilliant Syrian conspiracy came to the heads of the Syrian authorities. This is a regime used to lying and inventing, as it has done so many "operations" in the past 40 years, one of which was the 2005 assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq al-Hariri, or Hezbollah's demonstration of false lies. If the entire Arab world was dealing with the Nakba, why not repeat it big with the Naksa?

Ahmed Jibril is a veteran Palestinian agent of the Syrian authorities for decades, and he himself is already 83 years old. His tiny organization, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine - General Command, is a member of the PLO, but Jibril served Assad.

Syrian intelligence personnel arrived at Jibril's office in a building called the Al-Khalisa building (Kiryat Shmona), where the secret plan was planned. Jibril will organize some 2,000 Palestinians who will be sent as cannon fodder to the Golan Heights to initiate a provocation against Israel.

The Syrian secret police organized dozens of buses, light meals, and every volunteer was registered so that he could be paid at the end. Payment was promised only upon completion of the operation. It must be understood that no Syrian citizen, let alone a Palestinian, can approach the Syrian Golan Heights. This is a closed military zone for decades, which was opened only for the operation, intended to save Bashar Assad's regime.

In the morning, after the volunteers were counted, the buses set out. The demonstrators were provided with new Palestinian flags, and all the way they were excited by nationalist cries of "slaughter the Jews" and "death to the Zionists." They reached Kuneitra and the shouting hill in Majdal Shams. According to the plan, buses will flow throughout the day with additional volunteers, in order to give the show the impression of an increasing event.

And what about the money? - asked the volunteers who actually came to work . After the operation everyone receives the payment by hand, promised them. Everything will be fine.

Incidentally, the lack of organization among the "demonstrators" was terrible, total chaos, which was also photographed badly, until the night. Most of them were unemployed, idlers and street thugs, most of whom had no military training.

Although the Syrians claimed that 23 people were killed, only nine bodies of Palestinians were buried in the Palestinian cemetery of Damascus. Their families lamented horribly, and many fathers said they did not know their sons had gone to this bloody bathhouse. If they knew, they would not have been allowed to do so, they argued. The atmosphere was tense and hostile to the organizers of this massacre at the beginning of the funerals. At the end of the funeral, hundreds of "volunteers" presented themselves to a representative of the Ahmed Jibril organization, one of them Maher Altaher, of course, in order to receive the promised payment . That's why they left. You have to understand that the monthly salary of such a young Palestinian in Syria is around $ 20-50 per month, so $ 1,000 is a high sum. $ 10,000 for a dead family is already a pension.

Stunned, Althaher refused to pay the sum , agreeing to transfer at most two hundred dollars per person, "in the future." And what about the dead? They will not get $ 10,000, he said, because they have not managed to penetrate into Palestine, so there is no deal. If they were killed inside Palestine - they would receive the money, but they did not succeed ..

When this was heard by the families of the dead, a riot broke out in the cemetery. They tore up the banners of the Palestinian factions and began shouting "Death to the factions," "Death to Ahmed Jibril," "Death to Assad." Only the day before, death had belonged to Israel. Dozens began to surround the same representative, and asked to beat him. His armed security guards began firing at the "demonstrators," who were now demonstrating not against Israel but against those who sent them.

When the rumor went through the Alps that the money would probably not come, and that they had been arranged , a terrible cry arose. The thousands began to run to Ahmed Jibril's offices in the El-Yarmuk camp and wanted to burn them. From inside they began to shoot at them with the fire of their lives , this time without orders to open fire like another orderly army in the Middle East. Shoot to Kill:

How strange the sight was: the same young men who had been seen in front of Israel the previous day, the same people, with the same clothes, now fighting the one who initiated the conspiracy and sent them. The shooting continued as young people began to arrive. The "erosion" initiated by Jibril against Israel attacked him now. As a result of the shooting, 14 demonstrators were killed and dozens injured, more than the IDF killed, and the shooting was indiscriminate (1:45) No delays were sent to the shooters, nor did they hesitate to kill them themselves These are Palestinians, and they are Palestinians .

But hundreds finally managed to penetrate the building and set it on fire , while looting what they could. The place where the plot was formed, burned down. From the inside they called urgently to the Syrian army, which had come to rescue the members of the stream from the crowd, otherwise the crowd would tear them apart. It is unclear whether Ahmed Jibril himself was among them. In the background, the professional "demonstrators" shouted: "The people want the downfall of the [Palestinian] organizations." Hamas leader Khaled Mash'al, who came to console the families of those killed and with him photo crews to increase the effect, was greeted by boos of "get out of here a traitor," "a servant of the Syrian blood regime," "you do not want you here," " . He was quick to evade the media. He had never heard such cries , and he feared it would spread, perhaps even to the miserable Gaza, which Hamas had been harassing for four years.

Where's the money?? Jibril's headquarters are burning, and the crowd is furious. Will it develop into a war of camps? We'll see that. Meanwhile, the Syrian army has taken control of the Palestinian neighborhood, and shots are heard every few minutes for those who do not agree to disperse. Just as the army kills the Syrians, so it kills Palestinians now. There is no mercy.

Ah, I understood where chemical weapon from Asad appeared. He meanly took advantage of the trophies, taken from peaceful fighters.

---

DAMASCUS, March 10. /TASS/. Syrian chemical weapons specialists have recovered 24 tonnes of toxic substances in the areas previously controlled by militants, Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad told reporters on Saturday.

"Western countries wanted to prove that the Syrian government forces were the ones who had used chemical weapons. However, we have found substantial amounts of chemicals production. We have numerously declared the fact, but the West wants to heed only the terrorists," he said.

"The OPCW experts are appointed by the West. They do not want to know the truth. When we are saying that those experts do not tell the truth, the United States claims that they are experts who cannot tell lies," the deputy foreign minister added.
Syria filed a question with the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) why chemical weapons specialists were unwilling to come to Aleppo or Khan Shaykhun, but received a reply that it was too dangerous.

"We said we were ready to ensure protection, proposed contacting either Saudi Arabia or the US so that they could ensure [experts’] security in the areas controlled by so-called opposition, but they [OPCW heads] turned it down," he concluded.

The state could be divided. All of these fake countries were drawn by colonial powers. Before that the Othoman ruled all of them as an Islamic caliphate but in a fake nation state, the Sunnies don't want to be rule by the Alawaites/Shia and vice versa. Iraq is not as worse as it was during Saddam. There is a subtitute to Assad. The Iran/Assad/Hizbollah (Lebanon)/Turkey/Hamas axis should be weaken. Strategically this axis is much more important than the few Muslims hipsters of ISIS.

skinster wrote:The government under Assad is the winner in the war on Syria, what are you talking about?

Also, obvious false-flag is obvious.

The point about the Syria-Iran-Russia alliance arising from the 'Arab Spring', is that, had the rebels 'won', the outcome for the West would have been even more devastating.

A new opportunity would have presented itself to ISIS had the 'rebels' prevailed.

The above is why President PUTIN is 100% CORRECT in backing Syria(NOT particularly ASSAD).

Had Syrian 'civilians' been moved to a UN mandated 'safe haven' within Syria under UN protection, the carnage taking place would probably not have happened, remember, the last occasion this type of event happened, RUSSIA indicated that it's support for ASSAD would end(if I remember correctly?).

TRUMP is a menace to the safety of everyone, RUSSIA will NOT turn it's face against a conflict with America if it's goaded to respond to any belligerence by TRUMP & his cronies.

The nonsense expressed in the WEST against President PUTIN's actions in the UKRAINE is also ridiculous.

Even if the weapons used by the 'rebels' there are Russian, it's not Russians using them, or the surface-air missiles system, known as Buk, which brought down an airliner flying in the airspace where there was conflict.

It is a country, that, since the coup de etet, is one of the most CORRUPT in the world, more so than anything in RUSSIA & the thing is AMERICA, THE EU, IMF,WORLD BANK, flooded UKRAINE with Western TAXPAYERS MONEY as 'loans', that will NEVER be repaid because they were CORRUPT 'BUNGS' to the current regime.

ISIS and the "moderate rebels" were on the same side as the West, so I don't know why you think these groups succeeding in Syria would devastate it. :?:

I can find lots of recent case against the West by ISIS, but here's a couple;-

So, if that was so, why was the Manhattan truck attacker connected to ISIS?

US and Russia need to come to agreement to get rid of Assad.

Nikki Haley shames Syria after suspected chemical attack: 'We are on the edge of a dangerous precipice'

By Matt Richardson

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley delivered a forceful repudiation of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his supporters while delivering remarks to the U.N. Security Council on Monday, following an alleged chemical attack in Syria that killed at least 40 people over the weekend.

“We are on the edge of a dangerous precipice,” Haley said. “The great evil of chemical weapons use that once unified the world in opposition is on the verge of becoming the new normal. The international community must not let this happen.”

Saturday's suspected poison gas attack unfolded in a rebel-held town near Damascus amid a resumed offensive by Syrian government forces after the collapse of a truce. Syrian activists, rescuers and medics said families suffocated in their homes in Douma, northeast of Damascus.

Recalling a similar chemical attack in Khan Sheikhoun in April 2017 that killed nearly 100 people, Haley lamented, “the day we prayed would never come has come again.” The 2017 attack prompted the U.S. to launch dozens of cruise missiles at a Syrian airfield to dissuade Assad from using chemical weapons in the future, officials said.

But during the weekend, images of dead and sick women and children again circulated following another alleged chemical attack.

“Only a monster does this,” Haley argued. “Only a monster targets civilians, and then ensures that there are no ambulances to transfer the wounded. No hospitals to save their lives. No doctors or medicine to ease their pain. I could hold up pictures of all this killing and suffering for the Council to see, but what would be the point? The monster who was responsible for these attacks has no conscience to be shocked by pictures of dead children.”

The U.N. ambassador also hit Russia and Iran for their alleged roles in “enabling the Assad regime’s murderous destruction.”

“Russia and Iran have military advisers at the Assad regime’s airfields and operations centers. Russian officials are on the ground helping direct the regime’s ‘starve and surrender’ campaigns, and Iranian allied forces do much of the dirty work. When the Syrian military pummels civilians, they rely on the military hardware given by Russia. Russia could stop this senseless slaughter, if it wanted. But it stands with the Assad regime and supports it without hesitation,” Haley said.

“The United States is determined to see that the monster who dropped chemical weapons on the Syrian people held to account,” Haley continued, emphasizing that “meetings are ongoing” and “important decisions are being weighed as we speak.”

Haley also said: “We are beyond showing pictures of dead babies. We are beyond appeals to conscience. We have reached the moment when the world must see justice done. History will record this as the moment when the Security Council either discharged its duty or demonstrated its utter and complete failure to protect the people of Syria. Either way, the United States will respond.”

Haley’s comments followed reports earlier Monday that Israel conducted an airstrike on an Assad air base in Syria on Sunday night. The airstrikes reportedly killed 14 people, including Iranians, at a military airport near the city of Homs.

Russia Warned US of 'Grave Repercussions' if Syria Attacked
The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons said it had opened an investigation to determine what exactly had happened in Douma.

Russian U.N. Ambassador Vassily Nebenzia said Monday that Moscow has warned the United States of “grave repercussions” if it carries out an attack against Syrian government forces over reports of an alleged chemical weapons attack.

“There was no chemical weapons attack,” Nebenzia told the U.N. Security Council. “Through the relevant channels we already conveyed to the U.S. that armed force under mendacious pretext against Syria – where, at the request of the legitimate government of a country, Russian troops have been deployed - could lead to grave repercussions,” he said.

Nebenzia also said that investigators with the global chemical weapons watchdog should fly to Syria as early as Tuesday to look into accusations about the attack, offering them protection from Syrian authorities and Russian troops. “The Syrian authorities and Russian troops will provide conditions to travel to the areas of the alleged incident for them to familiarize themselves with the situation,” he said.

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley told the council that Washington “will respond” to the attack on a rebel-held town in Syria regardless of whether the United Nations Security Council acts or not. “We have reached the moment when the world must see justice done,” Haley told the council. “History will record this as the moment when the Security Council either discharged its duty or demonstrated its utter and complete failure to protect the people of Syria,” she said. “Either way, the United States will respond.”

British U.N. Ambassador Karen Pierce told reporters ahead of the meeting that Britain “would prefer to start with a proper investigation,” but all options were on the table and London was in close contact with its allies the United States and France.

I'm of two minds about this. I know Russia is in this to protect it's naval bases and Syria's Orthodox Christian community, plus not see the Jihadis in power in Damascus.

I also know that the Baathist regime itself is Fascist and has way to much 'help' from Iran and Shiite Militias, which are just as bad in their own Islamist attitude as the Sunni radicals they fight.

Therefore, the answer seems to me to be American and Russian and Turkish cooperation to;

1. Safely exile Assad

2. Set up a decent Syrian national government everybody can live with.

3. Send all the foreign fighters packing

4. Have if necessary, Turkey as a NATO member occupy part of Syria in the north and east and Russia the other part near the Med. in the west and south.

Why does Assad need to go? Because the West doesn't like him and they've tried everything to get rid of him, including starting this war in Syria?

How do you know Russia doesn't want to keep Assad in power? He's clearly pro-Russian.
#14904680
Assad needs to go because he doesn't bend over in support for the neoliberalism. This is why Libya and Iraq were attacked, and Iran is threatened.

Igor Antunov wrote:no, I mean his consistent stances that have not changed for decades, no doubt borne out of a concrete set of morals. He's already proven he's not just another turncoat politician.

He was never a politician, until he became president. He's just a frontman, a puppet, one who is very much in the pocket of neocons, carrying on what Obama and Bush started.

And aside from that, he's a billionaire and these people don't care about anyone besides their own group, so I would let go of that whole supporting him thing, that you do. He was never seriously for anything besides increasing his bank account and being an attention whore. He was a business guy and reality TV star, and continues to play the role, but now as an America president.
