They never invaded & colonised Palestine at all.

That land never had national geographic lines, it was always, as most of the far east or elsewhere was, land where the people's occupying them, were nomadic in nature, that was how it was.
It wasn't until the League of Nations(the forerunner of the U.N) issued Britain with a Mandate in 1921, effective from 1923, to [b]'establish a national home for the Jewish people'
So, the land that is now called ISRAEL, was established under [b]International Law in 1923, yet people like you would say that Israel has no right to exist there.
What actually went wrong(as usual)was the British screwed things up by it's borders that it created, which allowed the immediate conflict to begin in 1948.

One only has to look at those borders around Gaza to see that conflict would arise, Israel should have had all of Gaza including the whole of Jerusalem included within it's borders.
However, we are where we are & Israel will never give an inch of it's territory away.

Gaza was lost to the Palestinians by way of war, when Egypt, backed by Jordan, attacked Israel, whom defeated their enemies, causing the Palestinians to flee from area's of what is now Israel.

Land never moves, only people with their governing bodies move, what you call 'Palestine' was 'Phillistine' territory, a relatively hard-nosed militarily -minded group.
There never was(before 1948)a settled people of that land from the West Bank of Jordan to Gaza, Israel gained control of it when it defeated Egypt & Jordan.

Were Israel so minded, it could eject all of the palestinians, redraw it's boundaries & absolutely challenge the world to do something about it.

Israel's problem is that its far too soft. South Lebanon needs to be permanently occupied. Hezbollah needs to properly punished for their aggressions. Same goes for Gaza. Muslims don't value human life not even Muslim life. Killing Muslims isn't an effective punishment. Iran is not going to launch an invasion of Israel from Iran, and a nuclear capability would be far more of a threat to its Sunni, secular Muslim neighbours and to Russia than to Israel. Assad has no real interest in invading Israel. his got far too much on his plate just recapturing Idlib and holding the territory he already occupies.

The key then is to remove the Twelver (Shia) threat from Israel's Northern border. Israel needs to look to forging a set of Christian /Druze / Alawite / Kurdish buffer states on its northern border. With the northern border secure Israel can then turn to focus on the much more intractable Sunni Muslim problem on its East, South and Western borders.
