prince harry and william are ok but the others (prince andrew,Charles, queen elizabeth) are evil self entitled cunts those people are completely disconnected from the public and I wonder why the public is accepting to keep paying for their aristocratic lifestyle

I get your point, but Charles is more retarded than evil though. There's a good reason why Elizabeth (a woman in her 90's) still sits on that throne.

Well theirs only a few to support compared to endless Ultra orthodox parasites that Israel supports. I'd rather not have them and get annoyed by Megan and Charlie's endless moralising, but to be fair they are way less in your face than the Israeli ultras.

I sense a lot of green eyed monsters lurking around here.

I'm not a republican as I don't see want to see even more self serving politicians fucking around with my country than we have already.

No thank you very much.

Anyway, now Markle's buggered off back to Canada with her tail between her legs, leaving her husband to deal with the fallout, perhaps something good can come of this.

Not wanting to do any actual work is one thing, but the way they announced is disgusting.

There was no need for all that hoo ha.

Blaming everyone and everything apart from themselves.

They could have simply quietly arranged to renounce their royal status in the fullness of time and gradually withdrawn from public life.

Only that's not what they want is it? They still want all the glitz and glamour of being royalty, possibly so they have more to exploit.

After all in a year or two, what they will they be otherwise? Yesterday's news.

I hope they don't get their way. Markle's constant whining and mewling about how badly she's been treated is one thing, but they must not have access to any information relating to the state.

An American journalist was speaking on BBC news this morning, saying that Markle was a strong independent woman ( probably why she buggered off ) , determined to make her own way, something that Sophie, the Countess of Wessex couldn't manage to do.

That's not what happened. Before marrying Prince Edward, Sophie ran her own business. Unfortunately, whether by accident or design she gave away confidential information about Tony Blair that would help her clients.

She had the decency to realise that couldn't be allowed to happen, so she gave it up, making no fuss whatsoever.

Can't see Markle doing that. She'll exploit whatever knowledge she has, which is hopefully not very much and will soon peter out. There's only so many times she can use a description of Christmas dinner at Sandringham to make money.

So, I'm glad they've gone. Hope they don't try to come back.

However, I'm sad for the Queen. I think anyone with any decency must be.

This is her grandson that has stabbed her in the back like this.

She has carried out her duty for getting on for 70 year and that fucker has shat all over it.

I sincerely hope she doesn't reach the end of the road anytime soon.

From what I understand the "break-up" is mutual because Prince Charles wants to gradually streamline the royal family. Once William ascends to the throne Harry would be on his own instead of becoming another layabout prince like Andrew and Edward, so it's understandable that he's trying to make money.

There’s just something about the Royal Family that makes me pity them. It appears as if they have no individual autonomy and I personally consider that to be the cruelest fate.
Now, I’m no fan of this Meghan lass, but what she does have is independence, and she is going to teach Harry and hopefully the rest of the Royals (who so desire) how to be independent. She’s going to teach em how ‘not to give a fuck’.

And if that’s what she does, then I may actually end up liking her. Because those poor people deserve privacy and the ability to be selfish sometimes without impunity.

Maybe this American woman will get it right this time round.

The problem is that they knew what they were signing up for. They could have chosen not to have the fairy tale wedding and global fame that comes with being a senior member of the royal family.

This combines Brit insularity, problems with class and with racism.

It's very American to "franchise" the royal family name and commercialise the acquired fame while adopting a progressive victimhood narrative. It's also incredibly cynical.

The royal family has been truly duped.

Edit: I don't think they envisage themselves to be like the Kardashians but more like the Obamas.

I read a profile of Megan in Vanity Fair sometimes back. There was a seemingly facetious remark in the article about her going on a "honeymoon" with her female friend when she was living in Canada. So maybe she wants to pursue her "alternative lifestyle" outside the view of the British press.

Harry and Meghan spent their 6 week vacation here, and I gather reporters left them alone. Only one photo was published, and I think it was a 'homie' of Harry and Archibald overlooking Brentwood Bay. All reporting was after the fact interviews of owners of restaurants where they ate. Must have been lovely for his lordship. No cameras in his face.

There's talk of making him the Govenor General, as his ancestors were. Or maybe he'd prefer to continue working with Canadian and American servicemen/women.

Don't think much of the way they did this. His Father and his Grandmother didn't deserve this. But he's welcome here as far as I'm concerned.

Regarding the way they announced it...does anyone really think they were ever going to get permission? Why waste time? They just got on with it.

Canada is probably the perfect place for H&M to headquarter their brand.

It wasn't about permission. They just plain didn't tell anyone about the intended withdrawal. Not even send a formal letter first. Apparently the rest of his family found out about it from the Press first.

This is why William is definitely more suited to being the next British Monarch than even his dad, let alone his brother. We all know Charles should pass it straight to William, and he probably will(already old age himself now).

It would have been even better for their purported wish to have more privacy to never have entered public life as royals to begin with. There are plenty of members of the royal family that live in relative obscurity.

Quite right. They are now top A list celebrities with all the benefits that come with it and nothing of the overwhelmingly unglamorous and often outright boring royal duties.

It's really impossible to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they were naive or didn't know what they were getting themselves into.

--------------------------------------------------------

We are talking about people who think it's reasonable to put out a statement that they are working to become financially independent while being worth some 30 million.

I sincerely doubt this just came out of the blue.

It was one of those things that just had to be done. Like being in prison. There’s no consultation process if you’re a lifer. No ones just going to come along and let you out. You have to force your way out. Which they did.

It's very British to see the Royals, and Britain, as blameless.

Those are self inflicted wounds.

JohnRawls wrote:I guess that all the hate for Harry and Meghan is because they broke the family traditions while Andrew just followed them :excited:

The hate is because of the supreme hypocrisy of the whole H & M carnival show. The whole essence of Royalty is privilege and inequality. privilege and inequality based on biological decent. Yet the establishment right from the start wanted to turn Harry and Meghan's marriage into a diversity morality tale.

I have described, before how orthodox Marxism has morphed through Cultural Marxism into what what I call Corporate Marxism. Corporate Marxists in particular seek to build vast tech monopolies, so creating the richest people the world has ever seen, creating the most extreme wealth inequalities, while offering themselves as Orwellian private police forces for the Cultural Marxist establishment's anti White, anti Gentile, anti infidel, Feminist, Gay, Trans agenda.

In a similar way, they seem to have been trying to create some kind of Royal Marxism, this would tie in with Prince Charles new low carbon Green Monarchy.

I agree that they are partly self-inflicted (although probably for different reasons). On the other hand, even if the royal family had anticipated that this would end in tears, objecting to the marriage would have elicited the same, if not worse, complaints.

Letting the most spoiled and privileged get away with using the mantel of the "oppressed and marginalised" is easily your worst export.
