Trump is not going to be charged with a crime. That conman gets away with everything like a snotty privileged white dumbell that he is. If Obama would have done the crap that Trump did? He would have been in jail for a long long time and never have gotten to the White House. For sure.

They definitely need to charge him. It's unusual to charge a former U.S. President with a crime. However, his violations of law were so egregious that they cannot be ignored, even if he is a former U.S. President.

I agree. But I think the timing will be such that it'll derail his candidacy.

It begins...

Now he gets to go to rightwing Valhalla: the victim victory circuit. Because there is no higher status that can be achieved in rightwing circles than suffering the most minor punishment for anything. Facing even the most minor consequence for your actions is antithetical to their view of the law, where the law is only meant to punish poors, women, gays, etc.

The problem that many in the Dem party don't get yet? Is that the Republican party is more about eliminating the power of the state completely because they have been on a goal oriented thing for decades now. Which is to make the brand of the Republican party the interests of the corporations and to completely destroy government power. It is keeping a total domination of the USA by corporations who want to not be regulated or told what to do by government. They refuse any control by government. They got used to it by abusing all the nations who did not have as much wealth as the USA did and got used to toppling duly elected leaders and legitimate democratic frameworks. They got used to being left alone and dominating. Why not doing it at home as well?

That is why inconsistency with democratic rule is dangerous. You get used to using violence and coercion on foreign soil and disrespecting voters on foreign soil and you got total freedom to do what you want with your for profit fiefdom? Why stop there? Keep going. Go for the big prize. The market of 330 million and make sure the peons get nothing there as well? Undermine the rules and the procedures.

Make it some fascists who do your bidding? They worked hard on the goal.

The problem are the voters in the USA. Who are increasingly apathetic and unengaged and used to struggling and limping along now....uninvolved and basically not doing what is necessary to remove these people who are total sellouts to those powerful interests. Because they have a two party system who both love profit. And are easily manipulated and bought off.

Greed is a horrible thing. But it does bring down powerful nations in history. If you don't tackle greed? You have no future. Get rid of the money in politics, and punish the politicians with zero interest in principled politics. It is almost impossible now. You got Bluto types who think the problem are liberal voters. And who don't want democratic votes. The USA is full of liberals. Just get rid of the liberals and they see a bright future. They don't understand that democracies are complex. Many different political points of view and you have to talk, negotiate and cooperate with the supposed 'enemy' or you don't get a damn thing done in life. But that lesson is moot for them.

That is why I said that the only way out now is to go after the fascists and violent nationalist freaks with tremendous force. Jail sentences and long ones. Civil suits where they lose properties, homes, cars and bank accounts. Total poverty, no power and jailed for a long time. And not only that shunning and total and complete repudiation to the point of no voice in any platform. If they don't? And go easy on these freaks? They lose and they will be forced out by lies and violence. The mobs will be emboldened and they will have the supreme court, which they do already, the congress will have more Marjorie Taylor Greene types and the senate will have more Manchins and more obstructionist senators. It will be a clean sweep of fascism even though the votes are not fascist backing votes.

That is reality. But the Democrats are incapable of forceful action because they are too happy with their payoffs as well and their corruption and because they are not really LEFTISTS. They are not really believers in class warfare. A bunch of weak, sellouts as well. So the USA has a lot to do to avoid a coup by the violent Bannon types.

Ohh yeah, big money in politics here in the United States is a HUGE problem. Politicians spend more time fundraising than they do governing. They need to spend more time governing rather than fundraising. Canada doesn't have this problem. So why should the US? Gerrymandering is a problem too because then your average everyday American goes unrepresented in government.

Both parties do it. but the Republicans have abused gerrymandering to an extreme because they know they would lose elections otherwise. But if the Republicans do it in the extreme and the courts don't stop them then all that does is force the Democrats to do the same in return. And what happens is you have a lot of average everyday Americans living in both Republican and Democrat states who simply go unrepresented in government due to this gerrymandering and big money in politics.

Whatever you think of Bannon, the fact he was charged with contempt of Congress, but Clapper, Brennan & others who lied to Congress have never been charged, shows how the Biden admin / elite have shamelessly weaponized law enforcement into a political hit squad.

No you didn't, and I don't fucking understand you twist either.

At least put up something like "corrected for you", and / or openly declare him as a Trump minion.

You can even actually ask the Dems to sic on him. If he so loves that badge of honor maybe it's not that bad an idea to set him up as an example for other wannabes.

I do not see any difference between what I quoted and the original post. Perhaps you are having some kind of technical issue? Maybe try clearing your browser cache for starters.
