Or perhaps it is more manageable to think of a territory that is 500 kilometers wide and 640 kilometers long. In the USA this would be a territory larger than New Jersey and Pennsylvania combined? I disagree. China simply doesn't have global reach militarily, and economically, they are in process of losing that kind of reach as well (lots of reshoring and near shoring is happening in many countries, and is in fact, one of the main causes of the inflation we see currently).
