I know, whatever you think about " Christian " Europe , we like Turkey , you are down to earth , reasonable guys . You are not like the Mongol - Muscovite, ultra - imperialistic barabariens

Chinese academic Deng Xize : "No more Mongol-Muscovy style empire:Thoughts on the war in Ukraine, The global reaction to the war in Ukraine in fact shows that such empires will no longer be tolerated."

The Mongol-Muscovy style empire could be defined as a dominating, rapacious empire upheld by violence, especially unruly violence, and exhibiting three prominent characteristics.

First, it uses unruly violence as a regular means of resolving international disputes. While violence is common and sometimes necessary in political or social governance, rules have been set for its use under a modern lawful democratic system. Unlike in ancient times, the use of violence now comes under heavy restrictions and is “predictable”. Such an evolution also applies to international relations.

wat0n wrote:Too bad for you that several capitalist states also achieved the same, without collapsing like the USSR did.

False

Also, not all workers' states and not all capitalist states have been able to become developed.

No, not all workers states reached the level of the USSR is what I presume you're saying here. But in just about every case, there were vast improvements to the standards of living for the working class.

Huh, it's not? You can see Singapore if you want an example of rapid development.

The same can be said about capitalist states and, honestly, any state that joins the still ongoing Industrial Revolution.

ThirdTerm wrote:The Soviet economy was booming from the 1970s to the 1980s. It was rather the technological gap that forced the Soviet Union to open up the country, especially in IT (Information Technology). The Soviet leadership had gone soft on imposing communism on the satellite states in the late 1980s, when the Soviet Bloc was gradually liberated under the policies of glasnost (openness) and perestroika (restructuring). Gorbachev didn't believe in Soviet-style communist rule and he was a humanist who believed in the idea of the brotherhood of all peoples irrespective of their nationality.

By 1970, the Soviet economy had reached its zenith and was estimated at 60 percent of the size of the United States[64] in terms of the estimated commodities (like steel and coal). In 1989, the official GDP of the Soviet Union was $2,500 billion[65] while the GDP of the United States was $4,862 billion[66] with per capita income figures as $8,700 and $19,800 respectively. The USSR was the first major non-Western country to close the developmental gap that had existed with the West since the 16th century.[67]: 52  In the period 1930 to 1960s, the USSR successfully implemented catch-up development.[67]: 52

Hindustan needs to decide if it supports the west or the Moscow imperialists ... "Biden sanctions don't work" crowd runs for the hills, With Finland and now Sweden in NATO Turkeys leverage is weakened...
