He mentions his support for East Timorese independence. Does he mean the East Timor that Australians turned a blind eye to for two decades, not saying anything until it became absolutely neccessary?
He mentions the no fly zones to protect Iraqi Kurds. Does he mean the Kurds who the US promised to Turkey would be ignored and Turkey given a free hand to suppress if a US invasion of Iraq occured?
He mentions the victory of liberal democracy over the Soviet Union. Does he mean the 'liberal democracy' of the United States that has supported virtually every single right wing dictatorship of the Twentieth century?
