Can ANYONE tell me about Aden, the first middle eastern conflict, apperently my grandfather was in it but i haven't been able to get anything out of him...........
any online reasources?

Funny you should mention that. My father was in the Royal Marines, and did most of his term in Aden and the Radfan Mountains, right up until the British withdrawal in '67. He was attached to the carrier HMS Bulwark, later HMS Albion.

He spent much of the time in hospital though, he caught malaria and after that took a ricocheted bullet in the stomach during a gunfight with FLOSY (Front for the Liberation of South Yemen) fighters.

As for online sources I dunno, but that's what I know on Aden.
