Oh dear the pathetic fantasies that the Liberals have to engage in. Russia's power projection across the Siberian waste into the far east was an incredible achievement. Only the Russians and the Soviets had the strength and courage to stop and defeat Japan in East Asia. Little speaks better to the pathetic needs of the Liberal than his need to make 1905 into some great defeat for Russia. If the Liberals actually spent two minutes investigating the history they would notice that the Japanese failed to capture Vladivostok. Russia halted the Japanese expansion into their territory, something the Koreans, the Chinese, the British, the French and the Dutch all failed to do.

The Russians and the Soviets it should also be noted kept much of Mongolia free from the Han jackboot. The Japanese tried again to expand north in 1939. While the Japanese inflicted humiliating defeats on China, Britain and America, they were themselves humiliated when they attacked the Soviets. The Japanese may have considered themselves the world master race but they recognised their inferiority to the Soviet power and never dared to attack the Soviet Union again.

President Roosevelt recognised that even with their Chinese allies, America was not strong enough or brave enough to defeat Japan. He knew he had to rely on the Soviets to defeat Japan in East Asia. When the Soviets did attack it only took a few days for the Japanese to surrender.
