The Lenin-Trotsky government as it was often referred to at the time came to power in 1917. The regime ended in 1991. Why did it refer itself as a Soviet state? This is odd, because the workers, soldiers and peasants councils or soviets had no power in the so called Soviet regime. It was called such because the Jewish Ukrainian Leon Trotsky became leader of the St Petersburg / Petrograd Soviet in 1905 and 1917. In 1917 Trotsky and Lenin, who hated Russianess and had lived most of his adult life not in Russia but in central and western Europe cut a deal. Lenin had created the so called Bolshevik party in London in 1903 (kind of accidentally). Trotsky, the Jewish Ukrainian joined the Bolshevik party and was given a top position in return he allowed the Bolsheivk party to seize power in the name of the Soviets.

The natural thing to do in a totalitarian dictatorship is to make the number two head of the secret police. However Trotsky's ethnicity was a problem. Well naturally says the Liberal know nothing, he was a Ukrainian, surely they had to have a Russian at the head of the secret police. Er no the problem was he was Jewish, so they made a non Jewish Pole head of the secret police. Of course that meant that if the Secret Police didn't go to a Russian, surly the Army had to be headed by a Russian, Er wrong again they made the Jewish Ukrainian Trotsky head of the Army. Ah so that meant that Russians had to make do with controlling the party apparatus. Er no wrong yet again, they gave that to a Georgian.

Moscow horde ( in all formats ) has never been ruled by 2 czars. The Lenin-Trotsky government is an oxymoron . Trotsky ´s role (as a Bolshevik gang member ) was much smaller than people in the west use to think . For the Muscovite Bolsheviks he was a loser Jew , many & majority hated him.
