Communists fall into the general category of "socialists". But I agree, this poll is stupid. It doesn't have enough options. If I were to make a poll I'd try to add all options I could possibly think of.

I think that we are (currently?) limited to only ten options for a poll.

Trotsky, but where Brezhnev or Khruschev?

They weren't communists or socialists, they were revisionists.

Dont ask for too much, the poll is obviously very shy of substance, and I doubt BBMF has knowledge on any of the the aforementioned figures.

I find it that MAO was the greatest.

Why?

I choose Lenin. Castro has his faults and just doesn't compare to the great mind that was Lenin

Remember that Castro had to survive throught the Cold War, and helped Cuba survive an invasion, Lenin did not. Although I agree Lenin was a great leader, Castro has with-stood time and Cuba had to survive much hardship during the Cold War. He took over the government, and wanted help from the US but they denied it. Although they got help from the USSR, Cuba was subject to much criticsm over the Cuban missile crisis. So in my opinion, great minds and thinking go to Lenin, but put into practice Castro gets my vote...
