I liked Tony Blair a million times more, Gordon Brown strikes me as a dumass.

British Subject: Ambivalent about Gordon Brown.

I sense he is a good man, trying to do the right thing against all the odds, so I have personal sympathy for him.

But politically he is socially left of my position and economically right of my position.

Not British, strongly against that piece of shit of a characterless man.
Main reason: he cheated his citizens out of a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty.

His departure is long overdue. He can be as nice a chap personally as anyone else, but he is no more fit for the role of PM as he was as Chancellor.

My concern is that he will fall with such an immense inward collapse of gravity that the entire left wing might be effectively sucked into the same black hole.

Gordon Brown < Tony Blair

If it haven't been for his adventure in iraQ he would be a very good politician of the modern world.

He has had a special place in my heart after the French mocked him mercilessly for his poor eyesight.

On the whole, I don't think he has been a bad PM for the UK, but I do find the prospect of the big four European countries (Italy, France, UK, Deutschland) all having conservative governments amusing.

A left winger would not have bailed out the banking system in order to prevent its collapse. Brown saved capitalism from itself. A real left winger would have allowed it to collapse, in the hope and expectation that it would be replaced by socialism.

Just one of the main men behind Nu Labour, responsible for turning formerly a left-wing working class party into a centre-right Thatcherite waste of space. What was the best opposition against the Tories is now spearheaded by Tory-lites, who could quite happily fit right into the Tories themselves, arguing over minor details because they're basically in agreement with every thing else. We in the UK now have absolutely no real alternative to turn to, no hope in our barely two-party system and no chance of it changing (ah the joys of FPTP).

Yes. Living in Melbourne. I tried to move to the UK for 11 months from 2005-06 but ran out of money so eventually had to return :(

Strongly opposed.

Gordon Brown, like the rest of his party, is a left-wing extremist who openly aligns himself with communist lunatics like 'Unite Against Fascism'. He should be legally tried and shot for treason.

is a left-wing extremist

If you believe that then you're a self-deluded, ignorant dupe. Brown hates the left, he hasn't been left-wing since the 1970s. Where've you been the last 30 years man?

Where have you been? The man openly associates with known communists. He belongs to a socialistic party.
