Constantinople/Byzantium. I'm biased.
I have a great appreciation for Greek history, and I also have contempt for the nation of Turkey.

So take me back to Constantinople
No, you can't go back to Constantinople
Been a long time gone, Constantinople
Why did Constantinople get the works?
That's nobody's business but the Turks

For me it will always be Byzantium... the city of the Basileus, the Golden Horn, and the Constantine Wall.

.... but turks can call their city as they prefer, idk.

"Konstantinniye" was the proper name used until 1930. I certainly wouldn't mind it being used still. It reflects the imperial history of the city and its Greek-Roman-Ottoman heritage.

Regardless: Meh. All three names (Byzantium, Konstantinniye, Istanpolis ) are valid as they are all derived from Greek/Roman. It doesn't matter.

I still picked "Istanpolis " or "İstanbul", simply to piss Sam and Aekos off. 8)

In fact "Tsarigrad" (or "Carigrad" as Mazhi said) is the only objectionable name so far.

I think that answers all your questions.

Precisely. So the rest of you, bugger off please.

I'm sad that none of the pofoturks commended me on my spelling of İstanbul.

Write Kırşehir and Lüleburgaz and make another OP of it.
Then you deserve to be commended ;)

Istanbul. Not for cultural or historic reasons or whatever, I just like the new name better.

Other: Whatever satisfies whoever owns the territory I suppose. Really, who cares about preserving the name of some ancient city?
