That sounds like whistling in the dark to me, PI. Even if you were right and they didn't elect "another Trump," in 2024, "normal" will already have changed from what it's today. And depending on how shitty America is by then, they may well elect someone that'll make you yearn for the good old days under Trump.

Will never happen as democrats are under complete corporatist financial control for cheap foreign labor just like their neoconservative buddies are.

Identity politics has become the politics of corporate national downsizing and enriching the elite at the very top.

He became quite popular with his racism, sexism, and religious bigotry.

I'm not quite sure that 'popular' is the correct description applicable to Trump.

However, I think that in a democratic context, to say that racism, sexism, religious bigotry is 'popular' is questionable.

In the spectral line of 'popularity' to 'bigotry', why is one position more valid than another, 'if' a position derives from smaller groups within their own minority interest, why must 'democracy' bow to them?

It's not wrong to hold a contrary view to a minority, what is wrong is when these minority groups throw 'labels' at other people who hold different views to them, calling them names that imply the minorities are somehow 'victims'.

In my own observations of the public side of these things, these minority groups both have the ear of politicians & have infiltrated our structure to the extent that they are changing it from within.

Like mass, uncontrolled migration, the people were never asked if they wanted it, the agenda of the Liberal-left wingers is subversive of the values of the majority who are ignored by the political 'establishment'.

People have a right to 'discriminate', a right that's exercised daily by all of us as a matter of 'choice' & it's not right that the tail(minority)wags the dog(majority) as it's not 'democratic'.

Rant over. ;)

That is true, there is an 'incestuous' relationship between politicians - business that undermines the very basis of democracy.

People elect their representatives, businesses do not, politics & 'democracy' are subverted towards corruption in the current direction it is travelling.

'Private' & 'Public' do not mix.

The people of the U.K should understand that politicians pandering to the deep pockets of 'private' business is corrupt & anti-democratic.

There is a vast deficit with a complete lack of trust in our politicians.

The Bank of England is absolutely corrupt, it is busily debasing our currency through the issuance of debt, raising inflation as a weapon against the possibility of the poor raising their standard of living.

The backdrop to all of our national difficulties, is that politicians ignore the people once they have their vote, which is why, once elected, they serve only the interest of themselves or their party, but not the people who voted for them.
