Not really, and will be obsolescent soon. Fossil fuels are a thing of the past. Not for plastics, but for powering cars and generating electricity.
Biggest trade partner and investor to the most countries: China

It was cheaper to produce some goods in China that could be produced anywhere. Will soon change back. And China is not Russia's friend.

I agree. Additionally, there are already many goods that are not cheaper to produce (and ship) in China.

The main advantage China has right now is simply that they already have a bunch of factories in place. To move manufacturing elsewhere requires up front cost to build a factory and supporting infrastructure.

In short, capital expenses (CAPEX) are the barrier, not the operational expenses (OPEX). Which as you say is changing. COVID has helped realize the risk more quickly. Same for Russia's disastrous war. Both these events have shown that the China-centric manufacturing/sourcing system isn't as robust as people thought and thus a business risk.

China hasn't been cheaper in terms of manufacturing since the late 2000's. And yet its share of the manufacturing pie has only grown. Because it is simply better at manufacturing and there is no collection of economies that could surpass it. Mexico is a cheaper manufacturing hub for US products than China, yet.....you can only Seethe because the US can't even bring manufacturing back to Mexico.

And Russia will only become a bigger resource exporter over time, as Siberia and arctic open up with climate change. Seethe.
