This gives confidence to the people, telling them someone is in charge.

Anyone who had done one minute of research and actually looked at the complete 16 words Bush said would find that it was complete truth.

It performs some useful functions, and it still does after the war in Iraq. But that doesn't make it any less irrelevant when it comes to when it comes to security issues. Did you forget about the hijacked plane that was brought down by its passengers before it could hit its target? That target would have likely been something in washington DC, like the Capitol or the white house.

To wit: in general the better educated make more money and are not considereded poor, so if these people side with the Democrats then surely that disproves the old notion that the Democrats are "for the little guy". It would seem that it is Bush and the Republicans that support the little guy as he is more likely less educated.
