One study at the University of Newcastle titled "Immigration and Population Profiles of City Regions in England and Wales", suggests most Arab and African immigrants seek settlement in (and contribute to economic growth in) the weaker city/regional economies of Birmingham, Cardiff, Coventry, Hull, Leicester, Liverpool, Middlesbrough, Stoke.
London (financial capital) and Manchester (media capital) are hot-spots for Chinese investors and graduates seeking work.
