Why does nobody remark on someone buttugly as being smart? Or a country bumpkin who actually has a brain? I might take that more seriously.

Yes, why does no one mention Stephen Hawking is smart?
Sorry, could not resist even though you have a point. Her appearance has nothing to do with what she has to say.

I find it upsetting that men will pay more attention to the speaker if he/she is attractive. Or that a lot of job candidates get the job because they look pleasing to the eye. I have noticed that a lot of reporters and TV anchors are attractive.

There is no denying there is discrimination everywhere, which is one reason I have reservations about emphasizing some over others. Even very intelligent people are discriminated against because many bosses do not like to have superior employees. The very beautiful are discriminated against by those who refuse to recognize them for their intelligence. It is something we each have to work around the best we can.

A beautiful woman cannot have an opinion on anything but fashion and celeb gossip? Intelligence should not be based on appearance.

When people mention Arryan, it is usually not in a good way. You do know that Arryan is from the ancient Indians and therefore does not mean white Caucasian, right?

I thought most of the video bloggers were criticizing Liberalism? People love to jab at it.

It was a strange way to start the thread, but several replies have concentrated on how stupid her video is, rather than how she looks, or if she is 'Aryan' (which is a very odd adjective to choose, and not one she uses about herself, as far a I can tell). Yes, she doesn't come across as very intelligent, but I don't think that is related to her looks. She is just, as she says, 'moderately racist'.

I have watched many video blogs over the years, so I assumed her video would be irritating or dumb. The average person just speaks out based on how they feel. They do not feel the need to use a lot of specialized lingo or solid evidence to support their opinions. Life is not a classroom. So I did not watch her video.

I think that this thread is ridiculing her. Is there any mention of her educational background or her career? The posts above me were talking about blondism, which I think is inane.

If you want the names of the immigrants or the tree huggers, I can't help you. Turn on the TV and watch the news. You will see a bunch of do gooders waving banners and welcoming in Muslims from very dangerous countries. The very strange thing is that these Muslims represent everything the tree huggers hate. How very odd :hmm:

I meant when the last time police arrested you for putting up an "immigrants go home" sign?

Her chosen userid on YouTube is "Blonde in the Belly of the Beast", so she's rather brought it on herself. She comments on the attractiveness of an ex-boyfriend in the video; she titled another video "Feminism is for Idiots and Uglies". Some of them start with a cartoon of her labeled 'Blonde'. Talking about 'blondism' is taking her seriously.

Why is she being taken seriously? Philip DeFranco is more interesting.

So you don't like discrimination but are ok with moderate racism?

:?: I think I made it clear discrimination is a part of life for everyone. Getting upset over something that you can not avoid seems pretty senseless, so liking or not liking has nothing to do with it.

Misty and I were discussing discrimination in general and not about racism at all. Gucci threw that in to twist the conversation to racism.

You can avoid overt forms of discrimination, actually. The difficulty is stemming institutional forms of discrimination because generally someone is benefitting from it financially/materially. Also I am reminded of an expression: the perfect is the enemy of the good.

Why not jump in.

There is nothing attractive about dumb.

There is nothing attractive about bigoted.

There is nothing attractive about racism.

This woman is simply not that bright. Her arguments are facile. I am truly surprised that anyone would defend her. She is a person who is so self-centered that she does not find it important to try to understand the feelings of others.

I am offended that anyone would consider her drivel in any way representative of a thinking conservative's views.

There is no such thing as "moderately racist". There are racists and there are those who aspire not to be racist. She embraces her racism.

In her video there was a reference to someone quite intelligent. That was the boyfriend who dumped this childish woman in favor of someone smart enough to raise his children.

As for her looks. She is mistaking the attention she gets from (men) for respect. The only reason they are not stuffing dollar bills in her panties is that she can't dance.

Exactly. Discrimination is everywhere.

I do not always like to discuss racism partly due to painful experiences that I faced personally.

This thread started off all wrong when the topic began about her sex, her ancestry, and her intelligence. Only a few people commented on the substance of her video.

As I said before, I have seen enough video blogs to know that most of them are rants by people who have nothing better to do.

If I want to see a video blog, I watch ones that are humorous or about useful how-to's like computer disassembly or skin care.

Well Misty you have to admit that her video was not very substantial. Just a vague feeling that things were not going her way and that "libtards" were the reason why. The thing is that her assertions do not pass the smell test.

Suppose we ignore completely her sex. We can't ignore her ethnicity or her intelligence. Like her relative beauty they are there for all to see. Is what she said objectively true? Some of it. Is she looking at random events in a rational way? Not most of them.

I

With regard to TV personalities, sex sells. I have seen a few average looking people on the news programs but not many. We in the US have to remember that the ultimate purpose of news broadcasts is to sell commercial time. If you look at PBS, which is a nonprofit enterprise, you will see that appearance does not seem to matter to much to them.

In the marketplace appearance also (sadly) plays a part in hiring and promotion.

A tale of three restaurants.

I routinely visit three reasonably upscale restaurants in Tucson. I say upscale because it is descriptive of the jobs of which I am speaking. Two have greeters and one a maître d'. There is the first problem. Of course the one with a man greeting people at the front uses the term maître d'hôtel. His name even appears on the menu. The other two don't use that term though one of them is a French restaurant. So the guy gets the job for his imperious looks and the fact that a restaurant which can afford a white man at the door must be good. Right?

In one of the other two restaurants there is a beautiful woman who is the greeter. She is certainly decorative. Never once has she called me anything other than "Lee party of x". Her idea of conversation is "right this way, your waitress will be right with you". Then there is number three. She is not what some would call attractive. She is overweight and has fairly nondescript features. But she is a treasure. After my first visit a month previously she greeted me with "welcome back". The next visit she greeted me by name. Next visit she asked me how I liked the wine I had ordered previously (by name) and remembered I preferred a table to a booth. Now we are on a first name basis and she even "smuggled" my wine in for me when I wanted to bring one from home. Her name is Chantelle, she has two children at home, ex husband nowhere in sight and just got a new (used) Audi. See where I am going with this?

The man worked his way up from waiter as did Chantelle. All three of the restaurant owners had a clue about what they were doing. Two owners chose the greeter for his/her appearance. The other owner was the smarter of the three. He chose Chantelle. I can not imagine how much business Chantelle brings in but I am one of her fans. I have met the owner and complemented him for putting her on the front. He told me he had to pay her very well because other restaurants keep trying to hire her away from him.

From her standpoint though she knows exactly what she is doing. She knows that she was not hired for her good looks and that she has to bring something else to the table. That something else is intelligence. She us very smart. She is also kind because here life experience is one that views kindness as a blessing you can bestow on others rather than an entitlement.

So look. I am old enough to know that smart people learn to go with their strong suit. The woman in this video (I just had to backspace and replace the word girl) unless I miss my bet, has usually had an easy road to travel because she is good looking. She has never really had to think about what she does to get her way. She just does. She has never seen or internalized a disinterested look from a man. Some few things go awry for her and she is blindsided by it. So to look for the reason she is not getting her way she turns to the easiest answers. It must be the "libtards" who object to her overt racism in the marketplace. (If she were my employee I would fire her out of hand and have security escort her from the building.)

But the real deal is that her video would not have gone viral if she had not been pretty. She is every bubba's wet dream. Tewodros nailed it when he said, "Can this privilege cunt, move in the South so she can be some white "conservative" man's property?" Crudly put but right at the truth. That is where she would be happiest. And some bubba would see here as a life's blessing.

So in the last election 60% of white women voted for President Trump. This is your competition Misty. All of the while that progressives/democrats were wringing their hands and condemning how white males would vote, the enemy was right under their noses. White women, just like this example, were waiting to turn the world upside down. In the end they voted for this model of female rather than the smart, experienced and accomplished woman.

Madeline Albright once said something to the effect, "Anyone who believes the world would be a kinder and gentler place with women in charge has never been to High School". My message for women is simply this. Misogyny is not solely a male trait. It is beyond common. It is ubiquitous.
