With regard to TV personalities, sex sells. I have seen a few average looking people on the news programs but not many. We in the US have to remember that the ultimate purpose of news broadcasts is to sell commercial time. If you look at PBS, which is a nonprofit enterprise, you will see that appearance does not seem to matter to much to them.

In the marketplace appearance also (sadly) plays a part in hiring and promotion.

A tale of three restaurants.

I routinely visit three reasonably upscale restaurants in Tucson. I say upscale because it is descriptive of the jobs of which I am speaking. Two have greeters and one a maître d'. There is the first problem. Of course the one with a man greeting people at the front uses the term maître d'hôtel. His name even appears on the menu. The other two don't use that term though one of them is a French restaurant. So the guy gets the job for his imperious looks and the fact that a restaurant that can afford a white man at the door must be good. Right?

In one of the other two restaurants there is a beautiful woman who is the greeter. She is certainly decorative. Never once has she called me anything other than "Lee party of x". Her idea of conversation is "right this way, your waitress will be right with you". Then there is number three. She is not what some would call attractive. She is overweight and has fairly nondescript features. But she is a treasure. After my first visit a month previously she greeted me with "welcome back". The next visit she greeted me by name. Next visit she asked me how I liked the wine I had ordered previously (by name) and remembered I preferred a table to a booth. Now we are on a first name basis and she even "smuggled" my wine in for me when I wanted to bring one from home. Her name is Chantelle, she has two children at home, ex husband nowhere in sight and just got a new (used) Audi. See where I am going with this?

The man worked his way up from waiter as did Chantelle. All three of the restaurant owners had a clue about what they were doing. Two owners chose the greeter for his/her appearance. The other owner was the smarter of the three. He chose Chantelle. I can not imagine how much business Chantelle brings in but I am one of her fans. I have met the owner and complemented him for putting her on the front. He told me he had to pay her well because other restaurants keep trying to hire here away from him.

From her standpoint though she knows exactly what she is doing. She knows that she was not hired for her good looks and that she has to bring something else to the table. That something else is intelligence. She us very smart.

I have gotten the feeling that average-looking people do work harder to improve themselves.

So look. I am old enough to know that people learn to go with their strong suit. The woman in this video (I just had to backspace and replace the word girl) unless I miss my bet, has usually had an easy road to travel because she is good looking. She has never really had to think about what she does to get her way. Some few things go awry for her and she is blindsided by it. So to look for the reason she is not getting her way she turns to the easiest answers. It must be the "libtards" who object to here overt racism in the marketplace. (If she were my employee I would fire her out of hand and have security escort her from the building.)

But the real deal is that her video would not have gone viral if she had not been pretty. She is every bubba's wet dream. That is where she would be happiest.

I used to wish I was blonde with blue eyes. But people who go for that are shallow, IMO. Those blonde types are trophy wives that men of high status want to show off to their family and friends. I would bet that most of those marriages end in divorce though. Those women know they look hot and they keep spending hubby's money like there is no tomorrow.

So in the last election 60% of white women voted for President Trump. This is your competition Misty. All of the while that progressives/democrats were wringing their hands and condemning how white males would vote, the enemy was right under their noses. White women, just like this example, were waiting to turn the world upside down. In the end they voted for this model of female rather than the smart, experienced and accomplished woman.

The majority of women in the US graduate high school and start a family. As we know, US High schools are not known for giving people solid educations. High school graduates have weak reading comprehension skills, weak critical thinking skills, and no understanding of logic.

And when the wheels finally come off it will be this that we have to blame. Our schools are more often than not just teaching to the test. This is one reason I want to get the feds out of the education business. Local leaders are FAR better at developing a well rounded curriculum. They may have the odd quirk but overall they care far more about the whole person rather than just his/her skills in STEM.

It also pretends that it was impossible for Americans to have in them the wish to be a bit more tolerant and accepting of people who aren't exactly like them, without someone having to brainwash them into that.

The reason is it is doomed to fail is the same reason regular marxism failed, it is based on a false premise of how capitalism can be overthrown. Regular Marxism holds that you can overthrow capitalism by lying to the working class, tell them they are oppressed and then they, like perfect dupes, will do all the heavy lift of killing cops as well as a sizable chunk of the upper classes and thus paving the way for the marxists to take their place as the new ruling caste. This was wrong, it didn't work. That is not to say the attempt didn't have nuisance value here and there but it was never going to work, certainly not on a global scale which is what marxists themselves say is needed for communism to prevail over capitalism.

So the cultural marxists back in 1917 realised that counting on working class people to carry out the revolution was not going to work at least not in the prosperous west, they were just doing too well out of capitalism and had every expectation that their circumstances would be improve with time if they played by the rules. These proto cultural marxists needed some other "oppressed" persons to get killed for their political ambitions. It is similar to the Mao's realisation that in China classical marxism wouldn't work, the proletariat were too few and too prosperous, relatively speaking, to have any serious interest in fighting the existing establishment so the Maoists aimed to dupe the rural peasantry into being their cannon fodder.

In the context of America then they had the actually quite serious black vs white divide to work with... This divide had been slowly healing since the civil war but yet still remained highly exploitable.

Likewise the US was slowly moving towards a less Christian more Greek or pagan attitude towards homosexuality and other unusual sexual practices but yet there were still exploitable divisions between what I may call puritans and Mediterraneans.

Also there was feminism, cultural marxists of course did not invent feminism any more than they invented the emancipation of slaves or the diminished influence of Christianity over legal codes but there again was a division that could be exploited.

So this is what they do, they find fault lines in the social fabric and seek to irritate and inflame the parties to that fault line to get both sides riled up and ready to fight.

See it is a fairly direct translation from setting up proletariat against investors or managers to setting blacks up against whites, homosexuals against christians and women against men. It is just that different demographics are being exploited.

Their point of influence was firstly the academia. The original cultural marxists were all academics (or pseudo-academics if you prefer) so of course when they land in the US infiltrating academia is their objective. For a couple of decades then there is not much to see, they are training a new generation within the setting of academia with their kooky ideas and aims and this new generation end up in the media, various parts of the bureaucracy, legal system and in a wider set of academia. Now this second generation of cultural marxists are a lot more numerous than the original schemers and present in a wider variety of platforms of influence. Now people start to notice a shift in the language and in the cultural values and it attracts a name to itself, the counter culture. By today the US has experienced several generations of cultural marxism, more social faultlines have been identified and exploited and unprecedented numbers of useful idiots, like the SJWs, are running around advancing their agenda.

So from a certain point of view cultural marxism is strong or powerful because it is quite pervasive but yet not really, it has taken many decades to reach this point and if we look at the phenomena soberly it still only amounts to nuisance value. The cultural marxists may cause some civil strife here and there but the overthrow of capitalism is still just as impossible as it was back in 1917. So in that sense I think I can definitely defend my claim that cultural marxism is weak and doomed to fail.

A fair number of Classical marxists like yourself do hate them yes, the cultural marxists flat out abandoned the working class as a vector of revolution, if as a classical marxist you remain true to that idea of proletarian revolution then why indeed would you like them?
