A big fear in Europe is revisiting the like of Thirties Germany (and rightly so!). This has led to weak "safe" liberalism . . . easy prey for a strong, aggressive culture such as Islam. The first thing necessary if European cultures are to be saved is to dump Liberalism for something aggressively European that can "face off" with Islam. Without this, I'm sure we will only see increasingly bold and numerous terror attacks. With growing radical Islamist numbers will come a belief of strength and "Rite". . . . . All this is though, still OUR fault. As Europeans, we have handed advantage to another culture. . The suicidal European project is guilty of actively pushing this. Our liberal politics has played its part. But, as a population, we, the ordinary people of every European country are massively guilty too. How many Europeans now put careers, material possession, hedonism etc etc before having children? in fact, anything to avoid having children or, if they do, its only one or two children. A culture will simply disappear without children. In contrast, Moslem's are having children like they are going out of fashion. So, Id like to know how many of the people on here or on any other forum who are worried about Islamic terrorists or the pervasive nature of the religion in Europe actually have three, four or more children. Because, if not, isn't that just hypocrisy? An elephant in the room! If we Europeans actually produced enough children, there would be no necessity to import young people from around the world (amongst whom can be radical islamists!) to plug the very real, yawning gap in our wealth creating work force. . . . created by our own selfish desires that now rarely include children. It is us, the ordinary people of Europe that are handing opportunity to aggressive, radical Islamists. We have shown them we are weak. It is simple nature. . . survival of the fittest, the strongest, the most determined.

Nigel Farage thinks Europe should return to its Christian roots (even as cultural identity) if she wants to stand still against Islam, the problem is no one believes on it, and there is no other strong faith or ideology to replace it. We are witnessing the same process that brought Christianization to Europe thousand years ago. At that time, the faith on the paganism and local faiths was weak and Christianity had easy ride. Now it's the turn of Islam.

Ultimately what it comes down to is the sort of person an individual is. There just are not enough masculine men in Europe and America anymore. The culture is hyper-individualistic and anti-spiritual now. During WWI there were fourteen year old boys yearning for nothing but the chance to wear a uniform and go to war for their homeland. Now all those values are gone and anyone who advocates them is going to be socially ostracised. Meanwhile Muslims are traditional, patriotic and still have that old fashioned masculine romanticism. I think Russians, Finns and Poles still have this as well. The rest of Europe is becoming effeminised.

Today the West does not even know what masculinity is. There are self-help books for men about how to be the "alpha male" and how to "pull". Seventy years ago masculinity was not defined by such properties. It was not about how much a person earnt or whether they could have lots of sex. Soldiering and heroic actions in times of war were considered the epitome of masculinity. But that culture is lost now. Sadly the values of the past would be utterly repulsive to most Westerners now days. It would make them feel guilty even to contemplate them.

Islamic women have babies, lots of them!

European women want careers, their own little apartments, nice little cars, holidays, partying with the girls, sex without babies.....................

European men are scared of being responsible fathers.

A bit of a generalization, I know but, there is a truth in there. we in Europe have lost our way, seduced by materialism and self.

If Europe is to find it self again, we must have children.

There is one faith which can still save Europe from creeping Islamisation. There is one faith which can instil order, discipline and an iron will to survive into the European soul....

Muslim women have an average of 2.9 children, significantly above the next-highest group (Christians at 2.6) and the average of all non-Muslims (2.2).

Simple answer, is to have another kid, or STFU. This is still not going to be a demographic shift that's going to happen in a year or two.

Fear-mongering is fear-mongering.

At what point do we say we won't take it anymore?
And then what do we do about it ?

It can start with Muslims abiding by and obeying the law of the Western country they live in. Sharia Law courts in Western countries should absolutely be abolished and should have never been allowed to start in the first place. Any Muslim who takes offense to this action is free to move someplace else just as any citizen in a Western country is free to move someplace else.

Then make sure the laws are enforced. Sure seems to me, especially in Europe, that Muslims are treated differently, with kid gloves, when it comes to the law. For example it's like they abuse a woman, and because they are Muslim, they are not prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I don't give a rat's behind if their Islamic religion allows men to subjugate women. In Western counties that is illegal and often punishable by imprisonment when it gets physical.

Mosques that preach violence cannot be ignored by law enforcement simply because they are supposedly teaching the Koran to their members. If members of a mosque are found to be terrorists or potential terrorists, then the mosque should be investigated for possible complicity in the crimes, and the Imams imprisoned if found guilty in a court of law.

The key question now is does Western society at this point have the stomach to take these necessary steps?

You do not understand Shariah, so you should stop talking about it. Shariah law does not supersede state laws, and was never intended to do that.

Shariah law handles divorces, wedding and other things the same way Christian and Jewish laws oversee these things.

5 myths about Sharia law debunked by a law professor
But Sharia isn't even "law" in the sense that we in the West understand it. And most devout Muslims who embrace Sharia conceptually don't think of it as a substitute for civil law. Sharia is not a book of statutes or judicial precedent imposed by a government, and it's not a set of regulations adjudicated in court.

Rather, it is a body of Quran-based guidance that points Muslims toward living an Islamic life. It doesn't come from the state, and it doesn't even come in one book or a single collection of rules. Sharia is divine and philosophical. The human interpretation of Sharia is called "Fiqh," or Islamic rules of right action, created by individual scholars based on the Quran and hadith (stories of the prophet Muhammad's life). Fiqh literally means "understanding" -- and its many different schools of thought illustrate that scholars knew they didn't speak for God.
Fiqh distinguishes between the spiritual value of an action (how God sees it) and the worldly value of that action (how it affects others). Fiqh rules might obligate a devout Muslim to pray, but it's not the job of a Muslim ruler to enforce that obligation. Fiqh is not designed to help governments police morality in the way, say, Saudi Arabia does today.
According to classical Fiqh scholarship, a Muslim ruler's task was to put forth another type of law, called Siyasa, based on what best serves the public good. The most vivid example of this was the recognition of incestuous (mother-son, brother-sister) marriages practiced by some non-Muslim minorities living under Muslim rule, dating back at least to the 14th century, despite the abhorrence, generally, of such marriages to Islam. In other words, Sharia doesn't hold that everything objectionable to Islam should be outlawed.

Rather, it is a body of Quran-based guidance that points Muslims toward living an Islamic life. It doesn't come from the state, and it doesn't even come in one book or a single collection of rules.

Do I need to point out the country of Uganda(a very, very, Christian one) where they imprison homosexuals for life? How about the USA, where they have 1 in 3 women being raped?
