Apparently, the state legislature thought it was a bright idea to relieve some small businesses of the cost required to comply with quality assurance regulations. The businesses involved are nail salons, drycleaners, and fishmongers which are predominantly owned by Asian community in New York.
Of all the small businesses out there, could they really find no better examples to relieve from regulatory pressure? Why only select these businesses out of all of them?
