Unthinking majority is correct .
A sucessfull nation must have a mix and we do its called welfare food stamps unemployment social security and medicare..
These are aocial programs they help our people.
They are based on a capitolist system that generats money .
We go out and build a business up and pay tax.
We hore employess and pay a tax for every dollar they earn .
as they do .
These taxs paid it make it possible for us to have these programs and a infrastructure thats good and a strong military. Overall good conditions in America.

Not crumbling buildings poor roads 50 to 70 year old cars falling apart 11 cents a hour wages and a bicycle in every home.
Our capitalist system has resulted in America being the most successful nation in the world with a high standard of living good wages good healrh care a extremely strong military that most of the world depends on for rhier safety aginst Communist agression .

Well stormsmith my name trigger was given to me by my favorite student.
I was a public safety officer for a private school.
One of my students from the Dominican Republic.
Called me the trigger because I was such a good shot and took the time to teach students how to shoot.
I was taking students out and teach8ng them fire arm safety and shooting 8 financed this myself . I have taught hundreds from nations such as england the middle east the Caribbean china Venezuela. Africa
Kids from all over the globe.
I provided everything and even started a shooting club.
After 17 months of retirement due to health reasons I still have studwnts contact me to let me know they are trying to give back to others.
The problem I have with this thread is the socialist who try to paint cuba as a successful nation which it is not .I know a lot of cubans and they sure dont consider ot successful.
I also cant stand the threadss name it implys that America is a failure . there is no comparison between the nations .
Again for all of you who love it please move there as one person said millions want to go there a complete lie .
Millions want to come here .
Thats a fact.

Now now storm smith your not looking at the entire picture .
You talk about what cuba has done for the people 9n a shoe string budget .
Well this thread talks anout how capitolist and technologies are a failue .
Really 11 cents a hour wage is a sucess amd every thing you buy for the mot part is subdized.
Maybe if they dumped thier failued system and tried a economy based on capitolist values and embraced technology as most of the world has it wouldnt be such a shit hole nation of poverty. Why dont you wake up.
Now you said birth control is pricey here my my 15 to 50 bucks a month yea thats pricey if your a herion addict with no job sleeping in nancy pelosis district on the street b
ut for most americans that cheap as it can be.
Get a grup and start being A American and support America effect change like insisting we pay the same for drugs sold overseas and actually helping improve our health care cost instead of suporting a communist nation

He went after a republican governor who was crooked and he went after the FBI agents who were protecting the mobster Whitney Bulger.
Isnt it Ironic that the democrats are going after him for not releasing grand jury testimony that the law has said is a crime to do.

The trigger wrote:Sorry but cuba has been anti American for decades . the younger may have forgotten they were backed by russia and put Nuke tupped ICBM by the dozen to be pointed at us that all of us .

The USA has been anti-Cuban for even longer.

The failed Bay of Pigs invasion preceded the crisis where the superpowers almost blew up the world.

The trigger wrote:Its not so much anti cuban I know a lot of cubans here in fl and have no issue with them. Its anti Communist. Thats tge real issue.

Not quite.

It has more to do with accessing the resources of Latin America.

Capitalist dictatorships would “free their markets” to foreign investment. This basically allowed US corporations to plunder these countries with impunity, taking billions of dollars of wealth out of these countries.

And the “evil communists” were the countries that were trying to stop this neo-imperialism.

Hindsite wrote:The question is "Why don't you move to Cuba if you think it is so much better than the USA?"
Are you too lazy?

You asked this to Pants of Dog, a Canadian like myself.

Neither of us is moving to the USA, as far as I know. So Cuba being better than the USA by many metrics (with about 1/20th the consumption per capita) is incredible and admirable, but doesn't mean that either of us will move to Cuba from Canada to prove a point to you. Though I might move to Cuba sometime in my life, if the USA doesn't destroy it like it has so many other nations.

I have friends who've moved to the USA, and I have acquaintances who have moved to Cuba. I guarantee you that the people who moved to Cuba are less stressed out, farther from a nervous breakdown, and get better health care and have more free time off than those friends of mine who moved to high-paying jobs in California or New York.

Most Quebecois ex-pats in Cuba are married to Cubans and living in simple houses with very complete and intersting social lives and community participation. Most Canadian ex-pats in the USA accept high-paying intermediate jobs that require workaholism and no family or social life.

The Modern American experience is isolation and materialism. The absence of community is palpable and reduces life quality down to almost nil. This has gravely affected both Canada, and Latin America. Americans fool themselves into thinking their country is NOT a failure because it is so destructive (powerful) and important (racist against all other nations).

I wouldn't wish to live in California or New York either. The main problem with the USA is that we have lying Democrats that put their party ahead of the good of the nation.

Cuban “troops” saving lives in Venezuela
U.S. President Donald Trump recently threatened Cuba with a “full and complete” blockade, coupled with the “highest-level sanctions,” while John Bolton accused the island of “controlling” the government of Nicolás Maduro.

That lie is repeated without an ounce of shame by the highest officials of the Yankee government, and Donald Trump has ordered Cuba to withdraw “20,000 Cuban soldiers from Venezuela,” even promising a new opening in relations if the island takes its “hands off” Caracas.

Cubans are truly committed to the principle of sovereignty, we are protective of our independence, and we would never do to others what we would not allow to be done to ourselves. Our banner “has never been mercenary.” Venezuela, the land of the clarion call, of Bolívar’s brave soldiers, the same that made an empire tremble, needs no one other than Venezuelans themselves to safeguard its honor, courage and dignity.

The only Cuban “troops” to be found across Venezuela, working alongside its brave people, are those fulfilling what they consider a duty. Thousands of Cuban specialists in health, sports, culture, education, communications, agriculture, food, industry, science, energy and transport, share this task in the Bolivarian Republic.

The Bolivarian Revolution placed human beings at the center of all its efforts; for the first time, millions of “nobodies” were provided with access to the social welfare programs of a government that has allocated 73% of GDP investment for the benefit of the majority.

Various social missions were born from that will to benefit all, created and promoted by Chávez. Fidel outlined the fundamental principles of cooperation between our countries, and the rest was provided by the heart and soul of the people in revolution. Thus Cubans arrived to join ranks with Venezuelans.

Our health collaborators are distributed across the 24 states and 335 municipalities of the country. They live in all its parishes, offer their services in more than 1,500 health centers, and share their daily lives with those most in need, be it in the poor hillside neighborhoods, or in those where the upper classes live. No patient is questioned as to their political affiliation or religious beliefs, nor is any money requested for these services; everyone is treated equally.

A total of 140,000 Cuban health workers have provided their services in Venezuela, undertaking 3,300,000 operations, and saving 1,470,000 lives. Currently, there are more than 20,000 working in the country, providing 10,388 health services. To offer just one example of these services, in just ten years, 209,607 diabetic patients have been treated with Heberprot-P, reducing the need to amputate limbs to just 3% of cases. These are “alarming” figures for those who spread hate and destruction.

These are our weapons, our “troops” in Venezuela; those who guarantee life and peace. And we are firmly on the side of those who undertake such caring efforts.
