Predation is the cause of all evil. The systemically unequal distribution of money is a major form of predation.

There are many potential sadnesses here. The one you invoke is manipulative and self-serving.

Qatz, were you predating on @Abood when you groomed him on this forum?

Like women can not be predators? There are plenty of bad women who use and abuse men.

But in regards to the current topic.
If prostitutes truly valued their integrity there will be no other way to indulge them in prostitution other by force. Women who partake in prostitution willingly already had perception that open sexual relations are acceptable. If they go further and partake in a life of a prostitute and then regret it it is not the fault of men, misogyny, patriarchy or whatever. It was their own choice to go into the den of sin and misery, and their own fault in the end. Of coarse in that life there will be bad people there, but they are bad not because they are men or because of patriarchy. But it is a persons choice to partake in that life.

The reasons like she had to earn for her kids or women are in poor economic conditions so they go into prostitution are just excuses so they do not have to face their own responsibility. The only reason I can see that perhaps is legitimate is if a woman indulges in prostitution to satisfy her addiction to narcotics. People steal and rob to satisfy addiction and are not of themselves under the influence of narcotics. But even then that it is not all that black and white, as you have many people who do drugs but do not turn to prostitution or life of crime. But then we have to look at why the person got involved in drugs to be begin with.

Also if we turn this around on the other sex and think if a man was in poverty and then decides to sell his body for money; and then claims that he was raped in his profession by everyone because he was enticed into prostitution by poverty. Will we believe him?

Apparently there are rumors that Schwarzenegger gave out blowjobs to rich men early in his acting career to make ends meet. Was he a victim of rape by all these men?

[quoteI d]on’t have any statistics, but I strongly suspect you can only show poverty as the main cause if you don’t consider the reason for their poverty. I believe the main reason for prostitution is drug addiction.[/quote]

This is true in my experience.

I think that decriminalising sex work is a good idea.

The trouble is that there is a lot of trafficking and exploitation associated with sex work today. So if we decriminalise sex work, and do nothing else, we are basically supporting this exploitation.

So, while I suport decriminalisation, I only do so if it is part of a larger program designed to address this exploitation as well.

And by this I mean radical socialism and radical feminism being implemented so that there is no chance of economic or sexist exploitation.

Sounds very promising. Um, what does that "program" entail exactly?

2. Abolish the patriarchy.

I'm with you on "Abolish capitalism."

But "the patriarchy" is mostly a red herring to cover up for the major crimes of capitalism. There is no unequal distribution of slavery under capitalism between genders: both males and females are enslaved to the max.

Me Too is part of male enslavement, just like wars and industrialization are part of female enslavement. Every move by the elite is aimed at turning all genders into slaves, and turning them against each other is a huge part of the strategy.

Blondie wrote:Qatz, were you predating on @Abood when you groomed him on this forum?

There was no unequal and/or desparate income situation that would have put Abood in an inferior power position vis-a-vis myself. Where are you seeing prostitution or predation there?

I note that you have not refuted my point.

You made a point?

All I saw were cliche hashtags placed in numerical order.

Besides, you have failed to address my points that I made to you in this thread months ago, you left my arguments unanswered.

Please go back and address them.
