No shit. I already covered that. It was a middling ranked reality show where his entire role was being a rich guy firing people, which must have been quite a stretch, since he is a rich guy who fires people. He was never a "top TV star". Even just "TV star" wouldn't even be true.

What you don't understand is that Trump made it a hit TV show and he was the "star" of the show. As a great showman, he fired the people with his special cobra strike.

They are on the left. The Democratic party in the US occupies the vast bulk of the left of the spectrum in American politics. Left right is purely descriptive, it is not intended as a crutch for people's identity politics. it does not designate any permanent ideological let alone policy affiliations. In fact policies can flip. Health care mandates are a good example.

By early twentieth century standards anyone who opposes the criminalisation of homosexuality is an extreme left winger.

Meanwhile back in reality, after the novelty wore off, the show had something like 4.6 million viewers one season. To put that in perspective, the show had the same number that Good Morning America regularly gets.... The difference is, of course, is that when the Apprentice was on, the nation was awake as it was being shown in prime time. Good Morning America comes on when about 1/2 of the nation is still asleep....

Far from a hit show.

Wow, what a supremely unhelpful post from my forum-stalker.

Since you admit that the left-right system is descriptive, then I’m assuming you don’t agree that the Democrats are for pro-western communism and their victories promote communism.

If you bothered to read anyone else on the board, or even my entire post, you might have saved yourself from making an idiotic argument about nothing. But now it’s here for the public to see, so go crawl back under your rock and sit in insolent rage again for a while.

I can never hope to compete with your genius and understanding I.G. For instance it is beyond my wisdom and intelligence to understand how the above is compatible with:
2. Remain courteous and respectful to other users of the forums at all times. Do not make personally directed attacks on any other user (for example, it is acceptable to accuse someone of making a "moronic proposition" but it is not acceptable to accuse someone of being a "moron").

But I guess that's why you're a moderator and I'm not.

Arnold was not able to keep it a hit show.

You and a lot of other liberals don't get it.

1. Trump never wanted to be a reality TV star. But he did it, and he was successful.

2. He didn't want to make a fortune in sleasy real estate and casinos: but he did it anyways, and he was good at it.

3. He never wanted to date and marry plastic models from Eastern Europe.

4. And so it was with the presidency.

The model for this latest Trump narrative is those buddy movies where a senior cop reluctantly comes out of retirement in order to solve an extremely difficult case.

Dragging America and the rest of Western civilization from its current position of 'circling the drain' will be that kind of movie, but the tacked-on Hollywood ending is less than certain, with Hollywood a git too caught up in MeToo has-been histrionics to create a fabricated happy ending with lots of product-placement and soundtracks.

(By the way, I never wanted to enter this thread and re-direct its narrative)

@QatzelOk How do you know that Trump didn't want to marry Russian models or establish a fortune in real estate? He seems mighty proud of his past. Russian women are believed to be the most beautiful women in the world according to Americans. Trump loves the spotlight. He likes being the center of attention.

Putin said Russian women are the best prostitutes in the world too. I am only sorry I never had a chance to try one out in my younger years when I had a long lasting hard on, naturally. Praise the Lord.

Never too late. Airfare nowadays is pretty damn cheap, and I'm sure you've seen the commercials, with respect to that other thing.

Yeah, but the over 4 hour thing scares me a bit. At my age, 1 hour would be sufficient.
