A little while ago, Larken Rose wrote an article titled "What 'government' does best" that starts off in the following manner:

Voluntaryists, like Larken and myself, believe all human interaction should be consensual and voluntary without coercion. As a result, we also believe governments are illegitimate because they inherently use coercion, or force outside of self-defense, which is never justified.
What are your thoughts on this?
There are two things that “government” does best:
1) Gives malicious psychos a way to drastically increase the amount of harm they can do, and;
2) Transforms regular, decent people into malicious psychos (and then drastically increases the amount of harm they can do).
