Please provide evidence that this mysterious "they" are pursuing totalitarianism as a solution to inequality.

Also, please note that the term "totalitarianism" has an actual meaning, and is not shorthand for whatever offends your personal sensibilities.

They support a centralized federal government over decentralization. They support global government through human rights. Both of these lead to greater and greater centralized power which inevitably leads to a form of totalitarian government. Their concept of global liberalism requires the suppression of all other compeating ideology. Coupled with their demands for suppression of free speech and passage of hate crime laws, How does this not lead toTotalitarianism?

Its kind of in the definition of mental illness that your beliefs feelings are not shared by a community of people. Judaism, Islam, Christianity, would all be forms of mental illness if they were just the beliefs of a single individual. The same with Adolph Hitler and Joseph Stalin, if they had been alone in their messianic self belief, they would have been considered mentally ill, but the fact that a large number of people had a similar if not even greater belief in their supernatural capabilities, means they were not by definition mentally ill, at least on those grounds.

Heisenberg wrote:Ah, so you have no evidence then, just more vague assertions. Thanks for clearing that up

So the reality we are all aware of is a ‘vague assertion’ unless I cite ‘someone’ who may or may not have any clue about anything? :)
I did not mention anything that’s not a part of the known liberal agenda.

I will grant @Rich with a reasonable rebuttal. It is difficult to prove someone is crazy when so many of them share the same delusions.

Re: UKIP MPs, just look at their main Wikipedia article, it has a list along the right side and as of yesterday it had around 30ish people in various branches of government.

I'm not seeing how American conservatives have a nexus with the USSR and so-on. Like, Haisenberg appears to be equating me with the USSR for being insane and totalitarian or something? Maybe I misunderstood.

We have another thread right now where people in Silicon Valley are rumored to be getting bullied into signing manifestos about how their position isn't secure and non-programmers are as good at programming as programmers are. There's some crazy totalitarianism if you want to see the process in action.

Mental illness Party, ho: https://www.nationalreview.com/2018/06/ ... ion-class/

Clintonite triangulation aimed at appealing to the broad middle is dead.
One indicator of progressive hatred of Donald Trump that deserves more contemplation is this: The Democratic party is moving left with breathtaking velocity. Not only is it far to the left of Bill Clinton, it’s well to the left of even Barack Obama. Two and a half years before the next presidential election, with a wide-open race to be the party’s standard-bearer against President Trump, there’s no telling how far left the contenders for the nomination will have to move to enthuse the most ardent party members. Trump’s reelection campaign may well center on positioning him as reasonable and moderate. The Democrats appear intent on helping him do that.

Consider a new Gallup poll this week that revealed that party members no longer even concede that the existence of rich people is a good thing. The poll question was, “Do you think the United States benefits from having a class of rich people, or not?” Only 43 percent of Democrats said yes, as opposed to 81 percent of Republicans and 57 percent of independents. As recently as 2012, shortly after the 2011 Occupy Wall Street movement drew rapturous media coverage, 52 percent of Democrats agreed it’s a good thing to have rich people in this country.

The article goes on for quite awhile. Democrats keep getting crazier and it's through being crazier than the next guy that fights for the nominations are being won.

Why do you keep lying? They have 0 MP's. I know that you have a limited cognitive capacity but try to understand, an MP is a member of the house of Commons. UKIP have 0.

There are 650 MPs in the UK.

316 - Tory (Rich scum)
262 - Labour (Ohh Jeramy Corbyn)
35 - Scottish National Party (Jocks)
12 - Liberal Democrat (Yellow Tories)
10 - Democratic Unionist Party (Protestant terrorists)
7 - Sinn Féin (Catholic freedom fighters)
4 - Plaid Cymru (sheep shaggers)
1 - Green (tree huggers)
1 - Independent
1 - Speaker of the house of Commons (whichever MP becomes speaker gives up his party affiliation)
1 - Currently Vacent

So to surmise, the guy accusing the left of being mentally ill thinks the Labour party has as much influence as UKIP (a party with 0 MPs).

Jesus Christ event the greens are more influential than UKIP.

OK man, I get it. I'm not from the UK and so I don't know the difference between House of Commons, House of Lords, European Parliament and the many assemblies mentioned in Wikipedia. Unlike some people on this forum, I'm willing to admit it when I make a mistake instead of just disappearing into the woodwork until I feel like trolling again. We all know which people I'm talking about.

My main point though is not about the state of the UKIP, it's that Labour is doing a historically poor job, the Liberal party in Canada may face the prospect of getting wiped out and now, only 43% of Democrats think having rich people is a good thing, which is a dramatic drop from less than 10 years ago. I think the Democrats are headed in the same direction.

Since you mentioned the House of Lords...

Tories - 243 Lords
Labour party - 186 Lords
Crossbenchers - 182
Lib Dems - 98
Non affiliated 29
UKIP- 3 Lords (no that isn't a typo, 3)
(I can't be arsed to list any more of the tiny irrelevant parties)

Well done UKIP, 3 whole lords out of a total 780 seats! Well done!

European Parliment

Labour - 20 (the highest number of MEP's no UK party has more, Labour are in the lead.
Tories -18
UKIP - 18
(can't be arsed to list the rest)

Maybe local councils might help you out?

Tories - 9081
Labour - 6,470
Lib Dems - 1,870
SNP - 424
Plaid Cymru - 200
Green - 196
DUP - 131
UKIP - 125

So yes clearly it just the house of commons where UKIP are irrelevant turds, not the whole British political system.

Please give me more of your expert analysis, why do you you think Labour is doing badly historically poor job (since you think a nothing party like UKIP is powerful and influential this should be interesting).

As for your democrat statistic surely if some people in the Democrat party have finally noticed that worshiping the idle rich is not a good thing, that shows that the left is succeeding in changing the Democrats (a party that has historically been very right wing, see Obama or either of the Clintons). It isn't evidence that it is failing.

Getting back on topic: https://pjmedia.com/rogerlsimon/why-the ... breakdown/

Trump is the reverse. He's not a conservative either, but a Dengist, as in China's Chairman Deng Xiaoping (one of the most positive figures in the twentieth century for almost single-handedly overcoming Maoism), who abjured ideology and famously said "I don't care if a cat is black or white as long as it catches mice."

That's Trump to a T and the very opposite of his adversaries, who obsess about whether a cat is black or white and couldn't care less if it catches mice. Trump's pragmatism exposes their (no other word) bullshit. All they want to do is talk and do nothing. Thus, he leaves them naked, which generates yet more rage.

This part really stood out to me. I'm sure that if an actual Republican, such as Ted Cruz had won, the left would have been able to avoid losing some of the face I believe they've been losing. That they are freaking out about a guy who is only kind of a Republican in the first place is, I imagine, making them look a lot worse. And allowing children, celebrities and even porn stars to assume the mantle of leadership is probably also not helping...

Don't worry, @Hong Wu , UKIP was on topic. Because as I pointed out:

Prosthetic Conscience wrote:Amusingly, given the thread title, the major financial backer of UKIP (the one in the news at the moment for his Russian meetings) called Carswell, when he was their only MP, "borderline autistic with mental illness wrapped in".

So, no, the answer to your question is "no". Its the right wing parties who are, in their own reckoning, synonymous with mental illness. Another example: David Cameron ally: Tory activists are mad, swivel-eyed loons

Plus, of course, the considerable number of psychologists looking at Trump for various mental disorders, and asking if the 25th Amendment could be invoked when his cabinet become too embarrassed by him.

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, a Republican who is close with President Trump, was accosted by liberal activists on Friday night as she watched a documentary called “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?” Ironically the film highlights Fred Rogers’s teachings of love and kindness, but Bondi had to be escorted from the theater in Tampa by police as partisans screamed at her.

“I'm not Mister Rogers,” one of the activists told the Tampa Bay Times afterward. “I don't have the poise or temperament of Mister Rogers.”

“We're coming to where you're watching a movie or eating dinner,” added another. “Sorry, not sorry.”

It’s a far cry from Michelle Obama’s 2016 mantra: “When they go low, we go high.”

It’s also increasingly common. On same night Bondi got heckled in Florida, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked to leave a restaurant in Virginia, and protesters rallied outside the home of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen. That came at the end of a week in which Nielsen and White House domestic policy adviser Stephen Miller were heckled at separate Mexican eateries in D.C. One website even posted Miller’s personal cellphone number.

There are growing fears at senior levels of the government that threats and protests could turn violent. The acting deputy secretary of DHS is warning employees of a “heightened threat” against them in a memo: “This assessment is based on specific and credible threats that have been levied against certain DHS employees and a sharp increase in the overall number of general threats against DHS employees -- although the veracity of each threat varies,” wrote Claire M. Grady. “In addition, over the last few days, thousands of employees have had their personally identifiable information publicly released on social media.”

I think it's headed towards the mental illness connection. Leftist leaders are increasingly endorsing this kind of bizarrely counter-productive behavior. In 2016, Hillary was half-heartedly making statements in favor of open borders and so-on. What will leftists be having to endorse in the future if this kind of thing is treated as normal by their base?
