It started with them retreating to their safe spaces, closed circles and platforms that coddle them.
Then we had a couple years where they basically refused to debate with anyone.
Now, the right's keyboard warriors seem to be invading, using a variety of tactics to troll leftists by pretending to be even crazier leftists. If there is such a thing possible as a coup de gras in an internet culture war, this is probably it. The siege is over and meme warriors are flooding into the castle.
The more effort that goes into banning them, the more subtle they will get, until it's impossible to distinguish a faux NPC from a real NPC. Actually that has been a popular game mode in some games, like in assassins creed where you try to kill each other but have to mill around town like an NPC would and if you mess up and kill an actual NPC you get penalized. So this is basically that in real life, or over Twatter at least.
