Riggleman was an intelligence officer for 20 years. He was also in the Republican party while it was going crazy.
He has the background needed to put context on what is happening.
For example, Roger Stone has been a Right wing dirty tricks guy since Watergate. He's turned up in other Trump controversies. He's always been on the wrong side of the law; but never so far over the edge that he'd wind up in jail.
Before now.
He was one of the guys behind the whole "Stop the Steal"/insurrection conspiracies. When I learned he was hanging out with violent radicals, I was worried. This was before Jan 6.
Riggleman puts this into context. He not only knows the players, like Stone, his intel career makes him highly qualified to talk about it.
