I was wondering where do you guys get your news from?

I newspapers are too out of date by the time they come out so I only read them on airplanes and when there is a special edition.

I tend to get my news from the folowing sources:

Finacial News:
Bloomber TV
News wire build into my trading software

General News:
BBC News 24 or CNN
and Reuters online

Newspaper: The Independent is one of the best broadsheets in the UK. I read the print edition, but the stories in the online edition are identical, bar a lack of images.

TV: I hate TV, but Newsnight on BBC 2 is probably the best news programe I am aware of. I do watch BBC News 24 also, due to lack of anything better more than anything else.

(note that this list is reversed for some reason) I usually move from the most charged issue of the day, and then on to world news.

As for TV - I don't feel that any channel I get really offers a pure objective stance as this is a capitalist country, and these channels have to pay the bills somehow. I watch MSNBC. I feel that it is the most objective channel I get. CNN is allright with some things, but they leave some things out. FoxNews makes me want to throw things at the TV. I *can* get al-Jeezara and I'd love to watch it but that whole not knowing arabic thing gets in my way.

sooo much of it is the same.... i've added http://www.aljazeerah.info/ to that and there is hardly anything different, except for a couple of the more opinionated sites, they're funny

It takes two clicks for me to open all those sites, it takes a little while to load so I usually do something else while it's loading, get back to it and go through the less biased sites and work my way down the chain

for those of you in america without non-american TV news sources I've been watching a lot of C-SPAN (American public affairs TV, normally shows what is going on in congress or speeches) as they actually re-broadcast BBC and CBC in the mornings, I thought I saw a Palestine based re-broadcast on there but couldn't figure out where it was from. I thought LINK did this sort of thing too but not as in depth and more varied, but haven't been paying attention to LINK recently

edit: shortly before 3 AM central time and C-SPAN is showing Iraqi Sattelite TV
