It is. This is about commerce.

I call bullshit War Angel. This isn't about commerce. This is about the fact that Israel needs allies. Right now, the only friend Israel has left in this world is the United States and you don't want to alienate the only friend you got left because that whole notion of "going it alone" doesn't work very well and even Israel needs friends and allies. You can't "go it alone" and expect to survive in this world. So long as Israel is willing to work with the US in a way that is mutually beneficial to both countries, which includes foreign policy, I support Israel and the US continuing to be allies. However, if Israel acts in reckless disregard to American interests, I will think twice about the wisdom of my country's support for Israel. Both the US and Israel have to work in ways that are mutually beneficial, not where one side or the other ignores the interests of the other because ultimately in the end it harms the interest of both countries. Don't think that Israel can just pursue a foreign policy that harms the best interest of the US or that Israel can simply ignore American interests and that it won't harm the best interest of Israel, because it will.

We should stop supplying weapons to everyone and not just Israel. We provide a lot of death to the world all for some money that the people of America never get to see. We really need to stop creating problems for ourselves and others by providing weapons to other nations and groups of people.

If it is than you don't need us to supply you with weapons and billions of dollars. If this is about commerce, which it's not, than are you implying that Israel's economy can't stand on it's own two feet with out us?

And stopping commerce with a major military power is going to help you overcome the financial crisis how, exactly?

By having Israel buy the weapons instead of having US tax payer dollars paying for Israel's weapons. Those millions the US gives to Israel would more than likely do quite well at helping American with its economical problems.
