It's true that many soi-disant "libertarians" would more accurately be termed "propertarians," as they grant unconditional primacy to property rights over liberty rights. They refuse to know the fact that property in land abrogates everyone else's rights to liberty. Some -- such as the execrable Paul Birch -- have even defended chattel slavery on the grounds that the owner's property right comes before the slave's liberty right. The only difference between slave owning and landowning is that slave owning removes people's rights to liberty one person at a time, landowning removes them one right at a time.

True libertarians -- geolibertarians -- recognize that any exclusive tenure right in land must rightly require compensation from those asserting it to the community of those thus excluded.

"Quibble"? Land and landowner privilege are THE crucial issue, as the astronomical value of land just flat-out proves. Nothing that accounts for nearly half of all asset value could possibly be a quibble.
that's been nigh irrelevant since the Industrial Revolution.

No, such claims, though common enough among apologists for landowner privilege, are always false, absurd, and dishonest. As people have moved from the farm to the city, land value has gone along, and now urban and suburban land is vastly more important than farmland. The claim that land is only relevant to agriculture is just cretinous, dishonest, and puerile. If you had devoted even a nanosecond's honest thought to the matter, you would have realized that land's enormous economic value just flat-out proves how important it is, not coincidentally proving me right and you wrong, with no further argument required.
A bit like gay young men who aren't quite ready to come out clinging to their right to not let others define their sexuality.

(No offence intended to gay men)

Incomprehensible.
