Russia deterring the sea vultures.

They are still parked there and staring at Syria with tomahawk missiles on board, that none of those Russian vessels can stop. How is that deterrence?

The long range anti air missile systems those Russian destroyers carry (mach 3.5) can easily intercept a tomahawk ( mach 0.8 ) or any aircraft. I don't see any vultures near Syria, do you?

Igor, do you really think a Russian warship would shoot down a US missile? or a jet? of course not, they are merely posturing, the real deterrence to war is taking place in the court of public opinion and PR, (as is this deployment)
