"Most See Increased Danger from New Middle Eastern Refugees
(many, if not most, are not from the Middle East)

Everyone wants to help them, however as evidenced by the huge surge in crime in Germany since
Angela " I haven't got a clue " Merkel, opened the floodgates to all immigrants into Germany.

They should have been vetted, as all people need to be when entering any country.

She has singlehandedly changed her country, in a very negative way... without any input from the people who live there!

Rasmussen report:
While President Trump's refugee freeze is tied up in the courts, the State Department has sped up acceptance of newcomers from the Middle Eastern terrorist havens targeted by the freeze. Most voters think that's making America less safe.

3 wrong statements here.
First, people are being vetted before entering any country.
Second, crime has been actually continuously decreasing in Germany and the US and Europe in general since years and still decreasing even with the refugees.
Fear of crime however increased because right wing media outlets mainly takes a single crime done by a refugee and spend 10 billlion hours repeating it over and over again and bringing "experts" and inflating the whole thing , which is basically fear mongering.
and third, the state department in the US didn't speed things up for people, simply the ones whom already have visas or green cards and were stuck outside managed to get back.

And immigration has been constant between nations since the early history and have been fueling economic growth since ever.

Report from Reuters:
2016
"Migrants in Germany committed or tried to commit some 69,000 crimes in the first quarter of 2016, according to a police report that could raise unease, especially among anti-immigrant groups, about Chancellor Angela Merkel's liberal migrant policy.

There was a record influx of more than a million migrants into Germany last year and concerns are now widespread about how Europe's largest economy will manage to integrate them and ensure security.

The report from the BKA federal police showed that migrants from northern Africa, Georgia and Serbia were disproportionately represented among the suspects.

Absolute numbers of crimes committed by Syrians, Afghans and Iraqis - the three biggest groups of asylum seekers in Germany - were high but given the proportion of migrants that they account for, their involvement in crimes was "clearly disproportionately low", the report said.

It gave no breakdown of the number of actual crimes and of would-be crimes, nor did it state what percentage the 69,000 figure represented with respect to the total number of crimes and would-be crimes committed in the first three months of 2016."

Newspapers are cautioned NOT to discuss crimes or rapes committed by immigrants, as it might make Merkel look bad .....?

And ?
Do you know what are those crimes ?
Most of them are minor. Not crime as in rape or murder, if two men fought at a bar that a crime on each of them for example. In 2016 there was over 6 and a half million crimes in germany.
the overall majority is lower crimes with only few thousand being violent crimes.

For migrants. Well, around 15% of German citizens are foreign born currently so migrants. They actually in numbers account for lower portion of the over all crime.

The number of rapes and sexual crimes in Germany has not risen a single year in the past decade in Germany. Including the past 3-4 years with the refugees.
The number keeps going down every year.

again, thats fear mongering.

And immigration has been constant between nations since the early history and have been fueling economic growth since ever.[/quote]

That's untrue as a statement.

The speed of light is the only known 'constant' to my knowledge.

What is 'problematical' to some people, including myself about immigration is the following opinion.

In post war Britain, during the early 1950's, we had £10 'Poms' emigrating to Australia, financed by the British government.

In the context of an economy on it's back, despite McMillan's, "You've never had it so good" nonsense, we had our own equivalent influx from Commonwealth countries.

The above examples are, like the E.U construct, political social engineering, which, in my own opinion, is absolutely wrong as a policy.
I have no objection to anyone leaving or anyone of this country's origin, having lived abroad, having formed a long-term relationship with a foreign person, then wanting to return to this country together & cementing that relationship legally.

That is perfectly 'natural', it is without any direction or influence of government, providing there is no ulterior motive, such as claiming that relationship to gain citizenship for instance or gaining state benefits, there is no 'problem'.

When it comes to businesses wanting labour, that is very different, I do not agree with that, if business wants cheap labour, then that business should relocate abroad, it should not pay cheap labour cost, then expect our nationals to pay the social cost & such businesses as mentioned are not beyond evading or avoiding their tax liabilities.

At the end of the day, 'immigration' is a 'population' level question, we should not allow massive distortions, either from political or business constructs to destroy our social cohesion as a result of these.

When a country like ours, takes valuable skilled people from poorer nations, in order that 'private' business, that serves only itself through the profit motive gains, then, like foreign nurses or doctors working in the N.H.S, we are taking away from their home countries, the very necessary people that they so desperately need themselves.

By so doing, we are then forced to push back against that flow through 'foreign aid', or increases in spending on services like education, health, housing, or creating shortages or massive reductions in the availability or quality of such services that breeds discontent with the system.

These 'problems' are avoidable, they are man-made, political social engineering, with negative long term effects on a small country like ours.

The 'problem' is not migrants, it's 'government's.

Burning cars and attacking police are not minor !
You need to read the papers more to educate yourself as to what is happening in Paris.
You are also way off base about Germany.Merkel wants to pay the immigrants airfare to send them back to their own counties.
The problems with rape by immigrants in Germany are VERY REAL
You need to educate yourself about these problems, honestly, you sound rather clueless
#14776812
Ooh, so the riots about police literally raping a guy is now immigrants making problems ?
And the fun part is, they're protests mainly by French native people to begin with. You're right, they should be deported to France. Ooh wait, never mind.

And for German rape, sure there are some crimes, but those "crowds of Muslim men" going to places and raping everyone are quite doubtfull.
Infact, its so suspicious that most claims have no evidence at all it even happened.
I mean in the 21st century, with security cameras and cell phones and everything you'd think someone atleast would have taken a picture or recorded those large crowds of brown men running around raping everyone and everything.
In reality, you and all the other fear mongerers are the ones who should be educating yourselves because so far, most of the things you keep pointing too turns out to be all out false and mostly never actually happened.
Including, and perhaps specially rape, because you'd think that if all those immigrants were raping all the girls out there, the numbers would atleast rise a little bit.
But no, infact, constantly dropping.
In 2003 there were over 8700 rape crimes in Germany. In 2010 was around 7700 rape crimes. In 2015 with the refugees, that number is 7022.
Whatcha know, it turns out that number is still dropping.
But i know, its still the immigrants and refugees. The Germans stopped doing any type of crimes ever since 2010 and 2011 because immigrants and refugees start flooding in and established a monopoly on crime and rape. :knife:

"IMMIGRATION, THE BIGGEST PROBLEM OF THE 21ST CENTURY"

The average survey says otherwise. #1 is climate change.

Also immigration shouldn't be conflated with asylum for refugees. They're not the same thing, except ignorant, rabble-rousing idiots like on the Far-Right.

 You call the Far-right idiots because they do not believe calling foreign people in their country a different term changes the actual number of foreign bodies. I think you should consider your own reasoning ability.
Unfortunately for you, people are not that stupid and can see right through this flimsy distortion of reality with words.

Apart from Rasmussen's question in its poll, what's the source for this claim that acceptance has been sped up? It also seems strange to mix up the current American situation and what Merkel did in 2015.

No. Idiots for lying about the circumstances of their arrival. There's no such thing as a refugee illegally entering a country. They have been granted asylum. HELLO. That's not trespassing.

Climate change is the biggest issue. It blows my mind that land masses have sunk into the ocean and that so many endangered species have gone extinct in the last several decades. :*(

And not all immigrants are refugees, I agree. My parents and their Chinese classmates were not refugees, they were just college graduates who wanted to start a new life away from the noise and cramped conditions back home.

According to Merriam Webster online
Definition of refugee
: one that flees; especially : a person who flees to a foreign country or power to escape danger or persecution

It's funny when many countries that got so much power to insist on intervene other countries by the name of humanitarian issues, but they explicitly won't open their borders by the name of humanitarian issues themselves. (refugee)
