Nothing suspicious there. It's always been a rhetorical device to bring in a bit of lighthearted quips while discussing a serious topic, so that the audience isn't overwhelmed with tension and grief.

Or these mass shootings are a conspiracy by the reptilian Illuminati to take away your guns and institute a fascist UN government. Since the shooter was in contact with the FBI, it is possible that they CIA/FBI is complicit with the reptilians.
