Japan Is Obsessed with Eerie Science

http://park.geocities.jp/jpcdebate/0103 ... ml#page268

Japan is proud of its natural beauty of Mount Fuji and Cherry blossoms.

However, both of them seem to be a bizarre result of natural manipulation.

Mt. Fuji is 3,776 m high. (3,776=2X2X2X2X2X59)

Cherry trees can not survive without mankind's grafting technology in Japan.

So manipulating nature to suit the needs of humans is eerie? I don't think so, humans have always striven to conquer nature (I guess you can say it's in our nature ;)) and you could argue that agriculture itself is manipulating the land thus farming would be an "eerie science" and don't even get me started on irrigation which along with farming and writing, is one of the fundamental reasons civilization started in the first place. I honestly don't see the problem with terraforming earth, I would love some good terraforming technology in the Middle East. It would solve lots of the problems that the Middle East has in terms of agriculture. I would love to see a revival of the fertile crescent which now is just a desert ... :|
