The Supreme Ct held that the 2nd amendment to the US constitution protects an individual's right to own and possess a firearm for self defense independent of service in any militia.

Which overturned over 200 years of precedents in a mockery of jurisprudence.

If you guys don't destroy the country, which seems likely, it will eventually get overturned.

Really? Is that why there are so many gun stores selling to people legally? The Gun control act of 1934 banned only possession of automatic weapons. Ever hear of BATF?

California Gov. Gavin Newsom plans to use the controversial U.S. Supreme Court ruling on strict abortion curbs in Texas to design a law that would allow private citizens to sue gun manufacturers, distributors, and sellers.

"If states can now shield their laws from review by the federal courts [...] then California will use that authority to protect people’s lives."

— Gov. Gavin Newsom

This is why people should be against the TExas law regardless of what they think about abortion. The idea of the government delegating its power is dangerous. This kind of law allows a government to delegate its power to say Amazon. Serious, these are what the moron republicans in my state are doing.

Abbot is a fucking moron.
