This article suggests that Spain is arresting and extraditing Algerians who went to Spain back to Algeria for prosecution, because these people wrote opinions on the internet advocating toppling Algeria's government and replacing it with a Pro-democracy government.

Sometimes extradition is a way to bypass human rights. The government that arrests and extradites these people can wash their hands and say to themselves they're not the ones who have imposed the prison sentence, that they are not the ones who are responsible. Almost reminds one of Pontius Pilate handing Jesus over to the Jews to be crucified.
It's surprising that a Western European country would be doing this.
