I don't know about that. Sports are important to lots of people for reasons of their own. But I have enough hope in mankind that most people are not so mushy minded that while stopping in to check game scores will have a complete transformation of belief on something as basic as what gender means just because EPSN give an award for bravery to Bruce for becoming Catlin.

Even the people running ESPN can't think people are that malleable.

Then again, maybe I'm giving a whole bunch of people too much credit for good sense.

I mean when it comes to influencing opinions in sports, generally. However, they have only begun to dabble in social issues.

I actually know several people who work at the ESPN HQ (I live near it), so I have privileged information to their business.

I don't have any television at home. Not any cable or satellite.

there is simply nothing good on TV.

I keep a TV to play games and watch DVDs on.
