The scam works like this: You park your car temporarily on the side of the road in a Mexican border town, and when you get out of the store with your bottle of Coca-Cola, you notice it's been chained to a telephone pole in a 15-minute parking zone.

A policeman standing nearby, informs you that in 30 minutes, your car will be towed and you will have to pay $200 to get it back. But for only $50, the policeman will remove the chain with his key, and you will be free to not pay the fine.

In other words, the policeman is offereing to SAVE YOU $150 if you ACT NOW!

This fifty dollar contribution will *save you money* and will also help the Mexican policeman to buy *more chains for fund-raising purposes.*

And commercial media operates the exact same way.

.........................Mexican Police.......... Commercial Media

Supposed to: ......Maintain order...............Inform citizens

Primary function:
... Fund-raising...............Fund-raising

Method:.............Chain car to pole............Brainwashing into desires

Cash ask: ......... Save money!................ Save money! Be safe! Impress friends!

In both of these cases (Mexican Police and Commercial Media), both have something that they are supposed to do (maintain order, inform the public).

But rather than excercising their important duties, they use their positions of power to do fund-raising for themselves. This means that no one is doing what these institutions are ostensibly supposed to be doing.

In the case of commercial media, fund-raising is done by selling the symbolic content of their products to commercial entities. Commercial media uses this manipulation of symbolic content (images, emotions, implanted nightmares, etc.) to drive your brain towards desiring things that you would not have otherwise desired.

Commercial media THEN tricks you into thinking that they have provided you with a service (saving you money on designer clothing, pushing you towards cars with more safety features for their occupants)... when really, commercial media "chained you" to these wasteful and dangerous products without you even knowing it has done this. And now this same entity (commercial media) is pretending to not be in on the con by pretending to offer "good news" about "deals" on the products they have gotten you addicted to ("chained you to...").

You never get to see commercial media "chaining your car to that pole" unless you study media at some depth. When you realize that mass media replaced MK Ultra as a tool of mass manipulation... you will realize how serious it is to let mass media "chain your brain" to some very hazardous things.
