Neither of them has any basis whatever in science, any more than Christian "science".
And the two seem compatible, so they could be used together to create a stateless society.

Both rely on government control and removal of individual rights.

Don't try to pretend that you understand "the science", you don't know shit about the science. The physics are simple, GHGs absorb heat.

FYI, I used to subscribe to SciAm.

Lastly, the science reached consensus over 20 years ago. In plain English, Deniers are kooks now.

Please keep up.

The comment was made that the United States pollutes more than the rest of the world. I was merely pointing out that the claim was wrong. That was further bolstered when someone said the United States is responsible for 1/3 of the world's emissions of greenhouse gases. If that's true, then the rest of the word is responsible for 2/3 of the world's emissions of greenhouse gases, or twice as much as the United States.

Trying to read more into my comment than what I actually said is silly...

I am all for dismantling capitalism and replacing it with socialism.

I doubt @Sivad would agree.[/quote]

So you argued about an inconsequential and irrelevant fact.

The fact that the USA has caused more of the problem than any other country implies that they need to be more of the solution than anyone else.

They should not be sitting on their hands and complaining that the other guys are polluting slightly more at this instant in time and use it as an excuse to do nothing. Or, as we see, make the problem worse.

But given the water vapor content of the atmosphere, the amount of additional heat CO2 can absorb is minimal. Angstrom established that over 100 years ago.
FYI, I used to subscribe to SciAm.

SciAm has been leftist trash for more than 30 years.
Lastly, the science reached consensus over 20 years ago.

What EXACTLY does that consensus say?
In plain English, Deniers are kooks now.

 Kooks like Richard Linzen, William Happer, Freeman Dyson, Patrick Moore, etc., etc.?

The anti-fossil-fuel hysteria mongers have already been proved wrong and are going to be proved hilariously wrong. Take it to the bank.

There's nothing secret about it, and most climatologists are not lying. The liars just get disproportionate attention in the corporate media, which makes it look like all the climatologists are lying.
I am not sure how these people force climatologists to do their evil bidding, but they do.”

I know very well how they do it: "Toe the line or don't get published, and end up teaching high school chemistry."

It's not inconsequential at all.

The fact of the matter is that the rest of the world, collectively, should be doing more than the United States.

And they're not...

They should not be sitting on their hands and complaining that the other guys are polluting slightly more at this instant in time and use it as an excuse to do nothing. Or, as we see, make the problem worse.

We will give your opinion all of the consideration that it warrants.

Thanks so much...

Sorry, kiddo, you've lost this fight, and there is no coming back from that defeat.

Here in Maine, we can watch the grow zones change. We didn't use have things like poisonous snakes, now we do. We used to have caribou, now they are gone.

There are hundreds of examples like that. Like the Northwest Passage becoming navigable.

Regular people can see it in their lives.

No. When people look at the number of climatologists who agree that anthropogenic climate change is real, the number is in the high 90%. It is literally the vast majority.

I know very well how they do it: "Toe the line or don't get published, and end up teaching high school chemistry."

I see.

You believe that every single climatologist who has ever applied for a job had to ask a member of this shadowy cabal for a job. And none of these climatologists could simply tell the world about this hiring practice.

No, most of the rest of the world is doing more than the USA, as far as I can tell.

But if you have evidence that shows otherwise, feel free to present it.

Creating the appearance of controversy is a standard propaganda technique to disrupt the formation of consensus.

Big Oil borrowed that one from the tobacco lobby.

Combine that with the abyssal lack of sophistication among their pawns, and that's why you see the constant absurdity here.

No, I understood exactly what you were trying to do, you were trying to trick people into believing the US is biggest emitter of Co2. I was just making sure everybody was aware of the shit you pulled there.

I'll use your own level of evidentiary support:

Most of the world is not doing more than the USA, as far as I can tell...
