It is known that Moscow and Tokyo came to an agreement on the implementation of the «visa-free regime» program on the Kuril Islands, which means that the Japanese who want to visit these islands will be able to do this without a visa. However, it is important to note that this program is not entertaining, but exclusively «humanitarian». That is, Japanese citizens will be able to visit the burial places of their ancestors without any difficulties.
I can make two conclusions:
1) Both countries are doing everything possible to resolve issues related to mutually beneficial cooperation in any joint activity.
2) Japan finally, although not officially, but recognized the Kuril Islands as Russian territory.
