Russia's Developed Most Destructive Conv. Bomb - Politics Forum.org | PoFo

Wandering the information superhighway, he came upon the last refuge of civilization, PoFo, the only forum on the internet ...

Military vehicles, aircraft, ships, guns and other military equipment. Plus any general military discussions that don't belong elsewhere on the board.

Don't think anyone's posted or noticed this, but found this RT clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2FGA3Z-oYM&feature=channel posted on YouTube in 2007 that Russia has successfully developed the most devastating conventional bomb in history. With explosive capacity on the level of an atomic bomb, but without radiation. They decided to expand on a similar US project in Florida, reaching this unprecedented height of destructive capacity

Yeah this is old news. Lol environmentally friendly bomb.

This is very useful explosive device, as it can be placed inside a ballistic missile and used in place of tactical nukes. Blast radius of 300 metres gives this tactical nuke status without the drawbacks of nuclear weaponry. Perfect for destroying well fortified enemy military bases and airfields.

Drop a dozen or so in Swat Valley where Taliban forces are operating and see the effects, lol ;)

It's called the FOAB (Father of all Bombs), it's been around for about 2 years, and there's no way in hell that it can match the destructive capacity of a decent-sized nuke. 44 tons of TNT are no match for a 21-kiloton bomb like Fat Man (a 500-fold difference in explosive power, for those of you who suck at math).

Well it is eko friendly and doesn't fall for most international treaties that limit the use to some extent . The only treaty it might fall under is either 'Environment modification technique' since it destroyes quite a bit of land and that it can't descriminate between civilians and soldiers(basic norm of the humanitarian rights during wars) .

The other treaties don't have effect on it . But i don't see it used widely since it is almost the same as casset/carpet bombing type of weapon just in 1 big boom .
