Canadian Gun Laws - Politics Forum.org | PoFo

Wandering the information superhighway, he came upon the last refuge of civilization, PoFo, the only forum on the internet ...

Military vehicles, aircraft, ships, guns and other military equipment. Plus any general military discussions that don't belong elsewhere on the board.

Anyone versed in these? I'm serisouly considering aquiring some fire-arms for coolness value. I want to know what I can and cannot buy, etc.

I was thinking rifle. How much do Remington's go for in the US Boon? They're upwards of 600 dollars in these parts?

Am I the only one who finds that even a little, umm, disturbing? I mean, I love fire-arms and actually owning an endless plethora of them would be immensely awesome.. but in reality, they are not toys. Own them for self-defence, hunting, assassination or your very own militia.. but not for 'coolness'.

But guns are cool ...

The same way fast cars are cool, motorcycles are cool, flashy jewelry is cool and so on ...

So what if there is a possible negative effect?

So long as he obeys proper guns safety I see nothing wrong with it. Afterall, the private citizens who own the most firearms do so as collectibles ... why? Because they're fucking cool.

Hey, I'm not arguing there! I love guns and weapons of all kinds.

The same way fast cars are cool, motorcycles are cool, flashy jewelry is cool and so on ...

But these aren't all used and meant to kill (though they can kill if used unwisely or incorrectly).

So long as he obeys proper guns safety I see nothing wrong with it.

I'm not talking about laws.. fuck that. I'm talking about common sense - lots of intruments that kill with much efficiency in one house-hold is dangerous.

Afterall, the private citizens who own the most firearms do so as collectibles

Some do that, yes. Others do it for... different reasons. :)

Nothing that can hold more than three bullets.

Special licences needed for target pistols ( I think).

You can also get some kind of special collectors licence I think.

That's pretty weak. I want to go over a neighbourhood store, outfit my own militia and go skeet shooting that same afternoon with an AR15.

We have just removed the use of guns as penis extentions.

We still have cars, and other luxuries, thats a plenty.
