In fairness a number of people who were drugged out/mentally not all there leaders through history have successfully hidden the full extent of their problem. Consider JFK, or allegedly Ronald Reagan in his second term.

Dictatorships on the other hand have a long history of letting crazy people stay in power so long as they can crush their opponents. But then, I've been over this with you before Starman.

If Bush hadn't spent his time chasing the dragon, he may have been a better President. The current isn't doing a great job either because it seems that he's clueless about Afghanistan/finance/economics etc. All Presidents since JFK have left America in a worse place than when they took office and I don't see this coke-head bucking the trend.

Many American presidents have gone to war because God instructed them or because they were impressed by the assertions of various occult religious experiences. James K Polk invaded Mexico at God's behest, and William McKinley began the Spanish-American war also after consulting with God. President GW Bush was also in consultation with God before he invaded Iraq, and evidently was also professedly influenced by biblical sermons.

I am certain other similar stories can be found with regard to other presidents...
