Immigration is turning parts of the UK into a “ghetto” where no-one speaks English, a Conservative MP has said.
Nick Fletcher said Doncaster was full and that immigration needs to be tackled as the Safety of Rwanda (Asylum and Immigration) Bill was read for a second time.
In a speech which drew gasps and shouts of "shocking" from the Labour backbenches, Mr Fletcher said people "don’t expect to be called racist or xenophobic for saying 'we liked it as it was'".
He added: "If we’re going to have immigration, which I don’t completely believe is a bad thing to do, it just needs to be controlled immigration."
The MP for Don Valley and One New Conservative member said he would be backing the Bill, but added some members want the Bill to be stronger.

Eastern Europeans represent the majority of foreign residents in Doncaster.

Doncaster residents' country of birth
In the latest census, around 269,900 Doncaster residents said they were born in England. This represented 87.6% of the local population. The figure has decreased from just under 276,400 in 2011, which at the time represented 91.4% of Doncaster's population.

Poland was the next most represented, with just under 7,200 Doncaster residents reporting this country of birth (2.3%). This figure was up from just under 4,700 in 2011, which at the time represented 1.6% of the population of Doncaster.

The number of Doncaster residents born in Romania rose from around 100 in 2011 (0.0% of the local population) to just over 6,000 in 2021 (1.9%).

What does it matter as long as they pay their taxes and obey the law?

Do you know what "ghetto" means, and all the implications that conveys?

These are typically troubled areas that have numerous social problems, and often it causes white people to want to leave (unless there's some other major draw to the area, like the better job opportunities, older city infrastructure and world class amenities in London).

I shouldn't have to explain further. You would have to have your head in the sand like an ostrich to not have any idea what that means.
(If you still don't get it, you can talk to lots of working class families who left those areas, and ask them why they left)
