The technology for self-driving cars is not an illusion, but maybe simply just not there yet.

The company said its Autopilot feature can keep speed, change lanes and self-park but requires drivers to keep their eyes on the road and hands on the wheel, in order to be able to take control and avoid accidents.People in the cars have to be aware of this. Cars are not "driver-less, but there to help out, right now. If the person was aware of this, then it comes down to driver-error.
