Why that, I've never heard a bad thing about VLC, I've been using it for quite a while now and never had any problems. Also it gets recommended by anyone as soon as it comes to codecs.

^ I've never managed to get it to run any sense, but I'm not sure why. Other people seem to like it. I like MPC because it isn't a resource hog and seems to play everything.
